Make sure and soak that sucker in a brine overnight of salt and sugar water.

Makes all the difference.

Bread that is sad...............do you want me to throw you $200??

Thanksgiving is actually great alone Richie and I do not have to deal with asshole family members that do not want to watch sports. I will never forget when I beat up many family members at a Thanksgiving Diner years ago which lead to my freedom from the family.

Here is my menu for Turkey Day

4 Burgers (cheese) well done on grill on Italian Rolls
6 Dogs burnt real nice with hot mustard
Huge barrel of Potato Chips and Dip
Small Frozen Pizzas (Ellios)
Salad
Potato Salad
Hot Tamales (Candy Version)
Brownies
Cole Cuts
Blueberry Pie

I am not big time??

Since Buztah left us we are stuck with Richkas turkey and jjgold's cole cuts instead of gourmet cooking for Thanksgiving.

I too am part of the crowd happy to be spending Thanksgiving away from the family. It's made all the more hilarious by the fact that everyone is getting together not three miles from me and I already know from experience not to expect any visitors. Suits me well though, the boyfriend will stop by when he's done with his family.

I'm eschewing the whole poultry concept this year though, living alone I got way too tired of leftover turkey last year. This year I'm making my favorite comfort food, meatloaf with roasted Yukon Gold potatoes. Add in a huge jug of my homemade wine and I think this might be my best Thanksgiving ever.

JJ, you've always got a standing invitation to my place. We could do your barbeque items for lunch, and meatloaf for supper. After we open the second jug of wine, I'll sit at the piano and we'll croon out some of the old favorites. It'd be good times...
