Default Rugby: New Zealand vs. Australia at Mile High

Nothing official yet but the Australian and New Zealand rugby unions are close to a deal to play each other as part of the Bledisloe Cup in Denver some time next year, probably the last weekend in October. Should be awesome.

Yes, I'm pretty excited about it. Denver is sort of a random city to have it in since there are no direct flights to/from New Zealand or Australia and it isn't a huge city. I guess the advantages are that it has a decent sized airport with flights from all over the country and a reasonable number of flights from Europe, a tourism board that is pushing for the event to happen in Denver, the USA Rugby national HQ is about 30 minutes away, and more centrally located than a coastal city like LA, San Francisco or New York. Also, as long as the Broncos aren't in town that weekend, it shouldn't get swallowed up by other sports since it will be on a Saturday and Denverites don't care about CU football, the Rockies will be long gone and the NHL and NBA seasons will just be starting.
