Default TOW ends rookie project. Smart move.

In the last mini discussion here on the forum I mentioned that its not roberto fault. There is no way roberto can possibly know if any of these new books are going to make it. We have a 10 person office right here in Costa Rica and we sure couldn't tell you.

It was a very risky idea that was not roberto's best.

For all the cute ways they tried to justify the project, it was a money-grab. And I'm sure it did grab some up-front money but it looks like there were other, subtler long-term costs.

For the information of the forum: Bet4Aces is still being "backed" by the project until July 31st.

This is by far one of Robertos best decisions. It should have been scrapped long ago, but atleast it's done now.

You bet it was a pure money grab. Now he is promoting BetUS. The man has no shame.

Thanks Doug. The posters at The RX know the score. How can anyone take those mods seriously when they defend these shady books no matter what?

abit off topic but im a public accountant by trade, worked for pricewaterhouse in the early to mid nineties. i usually spend my winters in the dominican republic but a change of venue might be in order.

if SBR or TOW needs me to look at some financials before and/or during the football season to help out some newer books i would lend a hand.

im not looking for a salaried position, just something to do that might lend credence to an up and coming book that could be the next pinnacle.

i dont know much about the rookie project but everyone has to start somewhere.

we've seen alot of consolidation over the last year and trust me guys thats not a good thing for the players.

just a reminder, please support mansion and matchbook; we need them more than you know.

    cheers

    Terris, baby steps for now.

The thing that gets me and all of us at SBR is why do these places promote shady books?

SBR referrs more players to books than theRx, eog and MW combined. How? Simple, we get tons of referral traffic and everyone knows they can trust us. We don't recommend tej or the BetUS's of the world or any other scumbook. These promoters and forums are chopping off the head of their golden goose whenever they take money from a scumbook. They lose the invisible trust in the name of a quick buck.

Why do we care? Because it makes the whole industry look like a bunch of scammers when these guys promote Tej or a BetUS. We get lumped into the ole 'all watchdogs are greedy bastards who dont give a crap about the players' syndrom.

I know the other sites hate our criticism whenever they get a grab cash hair and take on a scumbook. We are trying to tone it down and focus on our own operations. It's just frustrating to see a watchdog promote a scam or known thiefs.

Focus on your last paragraph and everything will be fine. I have heard first-hand from sportsbooks at how well you refer players, so keep doing what you do, expand your product base, and stay away from the others. When you drop in at the other places it does seem you have the holier-than-thou attitude that most of them suffer from.

I can speak only for my own business, but when we stopped focusing on what the other guys were doing and worried about ourselves, our income increased tremendously.

You; however are your own man, so do what you want. This is just my rant.... as I hadn't posted over here in awhile.

Great decision, those bostars creeps were not enough for him to take the big step and shut the program.
    Bet4Aces looks better though.
