You made a bad mistake Teamer, your credibility would have been enhanced if you said you made 5K-per-week selling crack to kids, or steroids to Pleb.
It's a weird and wonderful world.
P.S. Pleb: When you go back across the street, tell Jeff Jones he's a cvnt.
Thanks pal.

Solid post, so let me get this straight: A $100 2-team parlay is different if the money was earned at Taco Bell and not Merrill Lynch?
Stop....before it's too late pal.

Yes completely different PAL!
The kid working at Taco bell and betting $100 is living BEYOND his means. The guy at Merril Lynch is partaking in a hobby.
Anything else you want me to clarify PAL...

Yes PAL.
If he earns $500-per-week and his outgoings are £300...how much disposable income is left Ace?

You are making some terribly broad assumptions here. If the Merrill Lynch employee has house payments, car payments, private school payments etc. then $100 may very well be beyond his means.
Whereas a Taco Bell employe may very well have $100 in discretionary income every week that he choses to spend on gambling. Since the income may be discretionary it wouldn't be beyond his means.
All depends on what you assume about the people involved. And what someone assumes about people can show a lot about the character of THAT individual.

Underneath that roided-up, rufty-tufty exterior lies the heart of a teddy bear.
I prefer the abusive Pleb, gives me more latitude.
As for your point, his main problem is he's neither funny nor interesting which is a bad combo if you claim to be Numero Uno on a forum, kinda gets you noticed.

Your making a lot of assumptions yourself there buddy.
I would bet ANYTHING that the average employee of Merrill Lynch can afford to put $100 on a game and the average Taco bell employee can NOT!
So my statment holds a lot more water than yours. Sorry.

i can get abusive when clowns like fiveteamer try to take shots at somebody they know nothing about to try and look hard on the net...but when those clowns are out of the picture you get your "teddy bear hearted" poster trying to contribute to a site

I can't carry on if you won't answer the questions you request in the first place. The point is, we don't know his level of disposable income, which renders your comments uninformed, however that's not the most interesting point to me in all this.
I find it ironic that, on a site where there are more lies told in a day than congress, you'd bang a kid for telling the truth. If he'd said he was an investment banker and LIED...you wouldn't even have got involved, so instead of beating him over the head because he works for Taco Bell, how about you tip your hat to a guy who isn't full of sh1t.

Guess what I said went over your head. It's ok. Read it a few more times and you might understand.
Average maybe. Do you know how averages are created? That doesn't mean that any given individual fits that stereotype.
Also, ending a post with a conclusory statement doesn't make it definitive and true. Sorry you don't understand that either.

That's a sharp post Pleb, you're scaring me.
It's a valid point though, multiple personalities will serve you well in forumville, you can't acheive longevity without knowing which personality is required for what poster.
You obviously 'get' that.

Ok my 2 cents, Five Teamer, I do not care how old you may be or if you work at Taco Bell, McDonalds, or Shecky's Gas n Gulp off of Exit 33. If you are paying your bills on time, not in debt to Vinnie Bago Donuts, and not stealing anyones money, gamble as much as you like. When I was in my late teens/early 20's after school, I worked at some pretty menial places. My paychecks were not huge, but my disposable income to gamble with was higher than it is now. I believe Five Teamer could have almost hit a 26k parlay. Who are we to say how much money he has to bet? I am sure not going to put him down for working at Taco Bell, and maybe before a couple of you other guys do, just ask yourself. Would you rather not have him work, and collect unemployment which OUR tax money goes for? If more people were like Five Teamer and WORKED for a living, I for one would be a happier ghost!!! You go kid, make you dough at whatever place you work at. If these "ass clowns" (not my words) were so much more evolved than you, I sure am not seeing it in their posts!! Once again my 2 cents...now back to work!!

No need for the name calling.
I agree that the majority of ML employees have more discretionary income than TB employees. All I'm saying is that you are unnecessarily pigeon holing someone, making vast assumptions about an individual that may be erroneous.
I doubt you know many ML employees either, the many financial services employees I know live closer to the belt than you may think.

I have no problem with the fact that he works at taco bell. If hes happy there, good for him. And i could care less if he lives at some chicks apartment for free so he can spend his disposable income on gambling. Good for him!
