Cardinals trade for, sign QB Kevin Kolb

The most talked about trade this week has finally come to fruition. According to FOX Sports' Adam Caplan, the Philadelphia Eagles have traded quarterback Kevin Kolb to the Arizona Cardinals. The Eagles received what many have been expecting for months now: cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a second-round pick. The Cardinals have also signed Kolb to a max contract. It's a five-year deal worth about %63 million with more than $20 million guaranteed.

Cromartie and a 2nd seems like a reasonable price. This should probably work out for both teams.

I agree with your point and I was a big Kobb doubter when he was drafted. Have to admit though in his limited action he has looked very polished for a QB with not much experience. Cromartie is good but hes probably a lil overrated, speed to burn but not the best cover skills.

Living here in Arizona not thrilled with it, yea they had to do something agreed, Kolb for me is still unproven and unless the O line gets better we may never now how good or awful he is. The Cards gave up 50 sacks last year and were dead last running the ball, so time will tell.

Cards need a QB Eagles needed a corner, could have been an even up trade but QBs carry premium. Seems like a trade that could work for both teams.

It's Fitz and a bunch of rookies. Well there is Doucet, but he doesn't count since he's made out of glass.

v young could backup vick and try to turn around his career , even though i think he is a bum

Steep price, yes, but definitely worth the shot IMO. You have to take a chance on a qb, otherwise you can't expect to win in this league. Already like their team more than the seahawks now with the tarvaris/whitehurst garbage combo.
