Default What are your betting strategies?

last week I laid low....

Pounded some teasers for some what I figured were should cover this games then teased it super teaser styles to "lock" it up for me...

going into the evening seeing I was on a roll I teased the evening NCAAF with some nice NFL action... I mean cmon detroit won't win a game...

Anyways... with that said I pulled back. I had a small play on Browns and small play on Browns... ML

Said that in SBR chat the night before I would be the only person crazy enough to take the browns ML... Only reason was its the NFL and nobody would think they could win...so I figured they would just cuz thats how the NFL works...

NFL is a crazy world.

Going to take this week pretty easy and lay off the early hoops action... I'll make some plays on thursday for NCAA foots...

My plays are Gut feels....its like the ESPN hall of fame test. If you can't look at a game and pick the winner against the spread don't bet the ****in game.

Anyways I'm up 6k this month so far...I don't believe in money management either. If you believe in money management, then you believe that you will more than likely pay the book year after year... You will try to eek out above 50% picks...you would be better off betting every dog on the board than making your own picks...

it takes YEARS to get even half way decent at sports betting, you need to watch as many games as possible, know your players, coaches, tendencies, who who ball of wax, and if you do ALL that you MIGHT make a dollar and a cent

When you hit a losing skid, take a break. I've lost four straight on hockey and took today off. Still capped it and of course the one I woulda picked woulda hit - but stepping back for a day can help. I think if you lose 5 straight in any sport, grab a beer and step away from the wagering software.

You need to manage the highs and the lows. There will be winning streaks ans there will be losing streaks.

Yes I went 17-7 over 5-6 weeks of NCAAF before stopping due to lack of interest on the threads

Though not as simple as Shark's, mine is still pretty basic:

Step 1: Ask wife if the monthly deposit from her trust has hit our account yet.

Step 2: If money is there, tell her I need $1,500 for new tires and a brake job for my truck.

Step 3: Find games that I like and bet 'em.

I truly believe that people who try to do money management makes it harder to turn a profit, but you risk more and could lose more.

I mean when your hot you need to bet like your hot. When you aren't you shouldn't.
