The days of great local pizza parlors seem to have really diminished in the boston neighborhoods I have been in.alot of the families are third or fourth generation italian families and very americanized,none of those real Neapolitan ingredients and the pizza tastes alot like the chains.
Of the chains I would go with shakeys for the entertainment at least,an old lady on the organ and silent films playing.That place was the greatest.

just because it's a chain doesn't mean they are more sanitary. the "chain" still hires some dude to make 'zas that makes about $6.50 an hour, and probably couldn't care less about sanitation, or the "chain's" reputation.
and yes, Domino's = cardboard
if you HAVE to eat chain pizza, order the HAWAIIAN BBQ chicken from Papa John's or the Meat Lover's from P.H.
they are both solid options if you must go chain.
