Man I took some time off and it pains me to see some of my old forum friends gone. Call me an old softy or a pussy I don't care. It sucks to come back for a visit and find out some cats like IMGV94 ran into gambling heat and had to take a second job at wendys to make ends meet that fvcking sucks. I don't care what some of you guys think of him but he was a very colorful character and a friend to me. I get bumed out cause i remember when this forum was new these guys where great! Imgv JJ Gold , even Raiders (is he still around) Im glad to see BBD, Ilussion, Rad , ON Looker these guys are still around and Im sure some of the newbies will be entertaining and informative as well but still I hope some of these old timers on SBR would come back.

I sometimes wonder the same thing about friends that were here at the start that aren't around these days. That's the nature of posting forums: people come and go as seasons and alliances and agendas change.

As for the names you mentioned: Raiders and imgv got themselves banned but jjgold is still free to post here. He (jj) turned up a couple months ago, made a few distasteful posts which he got warnings for, and I haven't seen him since. It was odd - it seemed almost like he was trying to get banned. But, like I say, he is free to post. So is Slugger, one of his old ghosts.


There are some real quality posters here right now IMO.

The only reason anyone is going to get banned is for continuous violation of forum standards after many warnings. I'll post some guidelines in a second.

Believe me, there were no shortage of warnings. It was his choice.

Other than that, I'm not going to be more specific. It is stuff that gets discussed through private messages and should therefore be private IMO.

Yeah, I guess there is a point there that might be intriguing to those curious about forum history. jjgold was here at the start (in fact his join date is a couple weeks before the forum opened) but he has not been here continuously.

He disappeared for some months after the first football season. I could guess the reason but I don't know for a fact.
