Default Which dead player would've made a bigger impact in NBA?

Len Bias or Hank Gathers?

so did bias just get some bad shit or did he od on coke? I've always wondered that but you'd have to hit a lot of coke to kill yourself (especially a guy Bias's size)

Damn, I just read the whole story about Bias.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Len_Bias
I remember it but was to young to know the whole story.
check out the link and read about the turmoil after his death with lawsuits and
such

1 question though? how did the defending champs get the 2nd pick in the draft?
dont the worst teams get the first picks.

He's trying to beat the Duggars.

From everything I have seen I really think Bias would have been one of the greatest players of all time..he was a talent that no one had seen before at that time...

I still think Bias would've been hampered by the fact he couldn't break that starting lineup for 5-6 seasons until Bird and Mchale retired.

Hank led the nation in scoring and rebounding the season he died and I believe would've made an immediate impact.

Bias hands down. Remember reading an article about Bias with different people that played and knew him. All to a man, they said he had gifts comparable to Jordan.

After the 1985 season, starting shooting guard Gerald Henderson had one year left on his contract and wanted a big payday. He wasn't worth it and the Celtics had Ainge ready to step in and play with DJ. They traded Henderson to Seattle for the Sonics No. 1 pick. Seattle wound up in the lottery in 1986, the year Boston won the title, and that's when all the teams went in a drum and were picked out. Philly got the No. 1 pick and Boston No. 2.

Amazing thing was if Bias had a great career, it would have gone down as one of the best trades in NBA history. Henderson was a decent player, played two years in Seattle then bounced from team to team before retiring in 1992.

It wouldn't have been a problem, since Bird missed the entire 1988 season. That led to Reggie Lewis getting playing time. Bias would have been starting his second year with the team. Maybe McHale would have moved back to 6th man to extend his career.
