Default Diverted thread (Would you encourage a young adult to gamble?)

Thanks for the kind words Senator.

Raiders I don't mind discussing my background in addictions at all - in detail. It's a very interesting topic to me.

But you seem more like you've got an extreme bitterness thing going on. You're stalking me around a bit now making pouty comments.

I don't think I know you at all. Maybe I knew you under another name somewhere else? Whatever.

All I have noticed about you is you have talked repeatedly about wanting to be "sharp." To me, that seems like a reasonable thing for you to want.

Sorry, I don't have any dispute with you. If you're looking for a feud, that's not my thing.

I really didn't have a problem with you until you gave me that speech on how I should act and that I could earn respect if I followed the guidelines that you had given me

I had never spoken a bad word about you and found it very arrogant of to assume that I was looking for some kind of acceptance, respect or direction from you without my asking.

Some guys here may be impressed that you were on the jeopardy show but it really doesn't mean a thing to me. Some of the guys on this forum are younger and may look up to you but I see you as being no different than any other poster here.

Since you are a mod here if you have a problem with something that I do that's not considered appropriate to SBR than tell me about it. Your assumption that I was looking for respect was uncalled for. I'm not the one bragging every other post.

Also instead of helping some of these guys with knowledge, that I assume you have on gambling, such as whether a scalp or middle is worth it or not you have given yes, no answers without reason.

It easy for you to give me a speech when unasked for but you couldn't give anymore detail to BB other than the bet was bad.

You could have shown him the percentages or told him how many cents or % a 3 is worth instead of just saying bad bet.

I'm willing to let this die but if I need your advice in the future then I will ask.

This is an example of what I'm talking about. You know nothing about me but are presumptuous as to my wants.

I could care less about the off topics that you bring up or your fascination with addictions. I'm here to discuss gambling and so far I have seen absolutely nothing that's of any use from you.

    Mudcat
If having people think you're sharp is as important to you as it appears to be, screaming I'M SHARP over and over - which is what you are doing in effect - is not going to get the job done.
I really have no idea where you came up with this opinion but yes it pissed me off when a mod comes in and lies about me. If that is what you really thought than your jeopardy knowledge doesn't transfer very well to real life matters.

    No need for attacks

What I ahve found is when guys are buried from gambling they take it out on successfull players but do not know if this is the case here.
