Default Changes coming to the SBR Points program, August 1st.

For players who so wish, the option to turn Pro by making a $200 a year charitable contribution will be made available. The regular option of depositing $200 in a sponsor sportsbook remains unchanged.

Eliminate points given for first post. We will increase the amount of points given for a login visit to compensate. Non pros will still get 6 points a day and Pro's will get 12. The only net effect is a visitor is not required or offered incentive to post. (the forums are plenty busy)

All poker contests will be given poker points as prizes. Prize levels will significantly increase as a result. Poker points must be rolled 5x in the open play ring games before they are transferred to the regular points wallet.

Sports and related contests will be given sportsbook points and casino points. All points awarded for logging into the site will be immediately available to purchase items in the store or transfer or any other action desired. After the rollover is met the points will be immediately transferred from the bonus wallet to the regular wallet.

There will be no semi annual price increase for mid 2011. Therefore there will be no increases until after the Superbowl in 2012. In the unlikely event there is no Superbowl, the date that there would have been a Superbowl is the day the next increase will be considered.

SBR will buy and sell SBR points. Sorry no US citizens may participate. Moneybookers and Neteller will be the only transfer options offered.

So pretty much everything will be the same, except for there will be a rollover on Poker Points won? But only tournament points, if you go to a ring game, there is no rollover, that's just how you complete the rollover for "free" points from poker tourneys?

Interesting. I like the poker idea. Higher prizes in exchange for poker rollover. Should generate more action in the poker room ring games.

SO it seems normal enough to me. Just if you win 500 in a poker tournament that you got in for free, you just have to rollover them points won, no big deal.

For contests, what's the rollover for sportsbook/casino points?

The reason for poker rollover is so some of is can be raked back?

The ring games are plenty fun now. But most of the guys who scoop points in SBR free roll tourneys actually take them and bet them in the sportsbook. Nothing wrong with that and we want everyone to thoroughly enjoy themselvesbut we also want to encourage more participation in ring games because we will start selling points. Hopefully business goals and freebie entertainment can coexist.

I'm personally very happy to see another option to become Pro. I already have accounts at the only three books I need from your "Pro" application and have no desire to create a new account at a book that I won't be using. I do want to contribute to the site and I will continue to use SBR so I see no reason not to go Pro.

I love adding the $200 charitable contribution. That must be in response to all the dumbasses who claimed they wouldnt become pro because they didnt want SBR to know their account numbers.

Same dumbasses who are more than happy to provide account numbers to join the free contests.

John, 1 more things to consider... I don't know how your numbers look from depositors of the Legends Baseball Contest, but I didn't and I know of alot of others that didn't deposit because the free contest players are playing the same contest and diluting the prize pool.

I will still be depositing for BTP but going forward I would strongly consider have different contests for deposits and non-depositors.

It will be interesting to see if some of these guys who have always championed that they dont go pro because they dont wanna go to new book, offshore, etc etc. If they will take advantage of the charitable contribution thing.

We are not anti US. But the buy and sell option will only be available to those with A) an IP outside the US and B) players with a Moneybookers or Neteller account. Those two companies screen applicants thoroughly as to their location.

It will be against our rules for US citizens to buy and sell points as it is now. US citizens must use the store and agree to use the SBR points program strictly as a free loyalty program. Those rules will unfortunately be strictly enforced.
