Default Only Way To Handicap: Pay Attention

    1. Watch games
    2. Injuries to key players
    3. Watch and Read News (ESPN, Online newspapers)

    So simple

Throw away the fukkin stats, they mean nothing.

That's certainly the funnest way to pick games, but I sure as hell haven't had any success with it.

Regardless of how much some math oriented bettors will disagree with this, I think doing these things at least provides more of an informed opinion, however diluted it may be, than simply flipping a coin.

Fuk ESPN JJ, i had a super sharp (Krackman) tell me when i had dinner with him in Vegas, that if you hear it on ESPN, its too late, local papers/news is the ONLY way to get news. thats why i tend to hammer U of I games as well as MVC conference in college hoops, i get the news locally and sometimes 1st hand

I definitely watch a lot of games, and I always research and chat with other handicappers to see what the general consensus is. Around 80% so far across all sports this year, so seems to be doing okay

MAth bettors bet both sides to a game and that is not gambling.

ESPN or any live TV has the most up to date injury info, 200x better than line services.

Having a feel for when a team is due for a clinker, or a max effort, can be profitable.

Obviously that feel is developed from following a team and understanding the flow if the season.

Have fun on that crash back to earth.

Honestly, I hope you continue your success, but don't get your hopes too high.

These things can certainly help, but you should not only rely on them.

Horrible advice. Of course you should keep up to date on injuries but to ignore stats would be comical if that advice couldn't cost a bettor money.

Bet local teams. I am 10-0 betting my hometown teams the last 2 weeks. I read the paper and have connections in the locker room.

Good advice coach.. Knowing the teams and whats going on is you're best capping tool.. Only for NBA tho.

I think I really need to stay out of Player's Talk. There is more intelligence on a Head Start playground than in here.

I don't post them all in a single thread. Some in NFL some in NBA threads.

True, but some solid entertainment value IMO. If I'm watching a game at night it's always nice being on the forum dicking around.

I always find myself listening to what Pam Oliver has to say. I don't know if this hurts my cause more than helps.
