Just wondering...I know it's a real "Us versus them" mentality with wagering, and rightly so of course. When you have to deal with issues like Sportbook.com's theft of the week, or individuals like Tony over at 5Dimes, it's not hard to see why.
But is there someone on the other side of the desk that you like, or has helped you out? For example, when I played at Sportbet, there was a CS Rep named "Andrew" who for all intents and purposes came across as the nicest human on the planet, and seemed to bend over backwards to help. "Harvey" at ABC is another fellow who went to great lengths to assist me during a long-standing issue with ABCIslands, and at times he seemed more frustrated with his company than I was. "Wally" at the Greek has to be my favorite. He comes across as curt, doesn't say more than he has to, and seems completely serious and humorless. Always reminds me of Picard on Star Trek when he was assimilated by the Borg and became Locutus. But what the hell; I'm not wagering for the humor of it. If I want a good laugh I'll put on the comedy channel, or better yet watch the Maple Leafs. As long as he continues to be efficient and helpful, that's all I'm concerned about. Anyway, just wondering. There's others like Scotty from Betjam or pretty much anyone I interact with at Pinnacle, but these are a few of the good ones in my opinion. I fully realize this subject matter might end up making this the shortest thread in the history of SBR, but what the hell. Carry on then..... Last edited by Stumpage; 11-12-2008 at 04:48 PM.. |

Gigi at Blackdog and Pete at Jazz are my two personal favorites....... both are transplanted Americans who go out of their way to assist the customer. My two favorite books, by far.

Really no need to call books unless your trying pull something or make plays.

There have been a bunch of people over the years. There was a cowboy named Bill at Legendz. He helped me a lot back at the time they took over . . . some book. Dimeplayer, I think it was.
That was awhile back. I have no idea if Bill is still around. JP at BetJoint has been great to me. I like Wally at The Greek. I am surprised to see Harvey at ABC's name coming up. I found him to be a psycho. That was a long time back.

Also, while I'm thinking of it, the people at BetPhoenix have been pretty impressive in the last little while. I keep getting PM's with updates about different things. When I have a question on the forum, someone always seems to have a personal response.
I think the names I have dealt with are JP and Richard (sorry if I've got that wrong guys.)

Well Mud, he was actually the one who accused of wrong-doing initially. But once he realized he was mistaken, he put a lot of effort into setting things right.....

I know. We talked about this a little bit. What can I say? He was completely irrational, off-his-nut when I had my encounter with him. I want to say I get where he was coming from but I really don't. Basically he thought I should be penalized for what he saw as a flaw in his book's rules. My fault. And it wasn't really even a flaw. Lots of books had and still have similar rules. And I lost tons of money there playing by their rules. And he wanted me punished. Anyway, don't get me started. I think I have moved on. I routinely name ABC Islands my #3 book whenever those questions come up.

They all work for the devil, and I want to take em all down via sports. If I could win every last money where the employees couldn't even be paid, I sure would.
