Deuce is an "unpure" American, since he is so close to the border he may be influenced by Canadian tv and the liberal/socialist ideas promoted, especially on the CBC.

"Pure" Americans are those that live in non-border states and only get American stations like CNN and WGN, no Canadian influence whatsoever.

While I too may be influenced by the US media because I'm less than 140 kms from the US border I still am very much un-American.
