100% agree, I can't understand it either. Seems like only people who got stuck with the premium charge at BetFair could benefit at Betdaq.

I prefer betdaq over betfair because of commision rate and I use betdaq almost everyday, most on horses. I am glad that they are bigger and bigger because betfair treat their costumers like shit.

sure but don't play those then. if 1 in 100 markets at betdaq has better odds after commission then betfair and 99 in 100 markets have worse odds, i still want a funded account at betdaq to take advantage of that one market.

betdaq is great. i still prefer sportsbooks compared to an exchange anyway so i don't bet at either.

i use betdaq for big events where they do have the liquidity (i'm on 2.5% comm). to simply ignore them would cost me money.

Here is a review i found that may answer your question.

Betdaq is an online betting exchange based in Ireland. Founded in 2000 by Irish entrepreneur Dermot Desmond, the site offers betting markets on a range of international sporting and novelty bets. The company claims to handle in excess of £20m worth of bets every week, by linking punters up to bet against each other.

Due to the unconventional way betting exchanges work, Betdaq claim that they improve odds by as much as 20 percent compared to the high street bookie. This is a big incentive for punters who are always looking to increase their margins. Betdaq has a no nonsense site, with popular bets listed on the homepage for convenience. Its simple platform makes it easy to understand exchanges for those new to this form of betting.

I have accounts at both betfair and betdaq and at several bookies. It's simple: go where you are going to get the best price after commission. What's the issue?

  27. #27

Never used them myself and wouldn't really suit my needs by the look of things.

Still more useful to have as an out compared to just another full juice or worse book, don't ya think.
Ofc payment methods and how transfering money is handled matters, don't know about that, but a working exchange is never a bad thing.

    So what?

Who cares who's making the markets?

Let them pepper (and salt) the markets even more. More sugar.

  33. #33

i agree that in horse racing betdaq has almost same volumes like betfair. On some markets even its bigger. rest is shit.

  34. #34

Volume is very poor..except UK Horse Racing Market.

Horse Racing Market Liquidity is not so bad..but only through the start of race. 3-4 hours before the race, it's graveyard.

    How they're still in Business?

Answer is easy! Many High Roller Traders are leaving Betfair because of Premium Charge!

Betdaq liquidity was worse 1 year ago. It will get better and better..(but still there's a long road ahead)

Also %2.5 comission is very cool. They extended it 'til end of september. Still, can't use them for soccer and other sports. I use Betdaq only for Horse Race Trading.
