That's rough, but doesn't mean you should stop gambling as has been suggested. The figures alone mean nothing, everyone runs cold at some point. What you can control though is bankroll management.

It sends the wrong message to tell someone to stop for being down 30k.

So, if he were up 30K he should then continue? It's placing way too much emphasis on a +/- figure. Just try to absorb as much as you can and start making +EV plays, focus on things that are in your control and let the %'s take care of the rest.

Post up at Rebatewager and if you lose at least you will or can get a large percentage back.

this is very good. most people don't even keep track of what they lost. i am sure 70% of the posters here has figures similar to yours.

at one point you realize you should just treat this as an expensive hobby, don't really expect to make money from it over the long term.

Patty, your cards are too big, you bet like 60 plays the other day. Drop that down to one or two plays a day. I never bet more than that.....

I'm down about $25,000 in my life. I'm 28. The worst part is 14 months ago I was EVEN. Last October I had a horrible night playing online Blackjack, cost me $9,000. Got crushed with Rockies- $4,000. Crushed last Thanksgiving- $3,000. I stopped for a while, started up again during baseball. Lost 12 baseball games in a row, which is almost impossible- $6,000. Was down $31,000 September of this year, but doing well in football this year. Got it down to around $25,000. I learned not to use online casinos EVER, and to try and set limits. I'm also sticking just to football. That's my story, if anyone cares.

thanks for sharing. i am sure 70% of the people here can relate to that. this is how gambling is. you build up for months, then one bad tilt weekend and it is all gone.

yeah i keep track of every sportsbet, every casino trip, and every dollar added online. I told myself i would quit when i had one losing month. Well that was about 2 and half years ago. But i kinda feel your pain i was up over 3 grand in 10 days between sports and poker at the casino, and then hit a retarded cold streak and lost 2,800 in about 15 days
