I think there's only five black Head Coaches in Div 1A football. The firings of Ty Willingham and Ron Prince cut that by 40%.

Wonder what old Al Campanis would have to say?

I'm a Stanford fan, I love Ty Willingham, but he has made a mess of Washington. He certainly deserved the boot...

The race card will always be used no matter what. Blacks know it works thats why they pull it out. Whites are scared of blacks thats why they give in. Whites never complain like for example every team's star running back in the NFL is black. Whites can't say hey thats racist. But if there's not many black QB's or coaches you bet your ass blacks will complain.

There are plenty of black head coaches in sports these days, some of them our good and some of them suck, just like their white counterparts. Some of them get the Steelers job and others have to turn around the not so glamourous teams. I dont think race in sports is even an issue anymore. Best man for the job, thats my philosophy!
