Default OT: Boy wearing dress denied entrance to school prom

just when you thought you've heard it all.

A student was turned away from his high school prom because of the way he was dressed -- in a dress.

Kevin Logan went to the West Side High School prom in Gary, Indiana, on Friday in a slinky fuchsia gown and heels. He believes officials discriminated against him by not allowing him inside.

Logan, who is gay, has worn women's clothes to school all year. He received an $85 refund for his prom ticket, but is not satisfied. He says he's considering filing a complaint with the Indiana Civil Liberties Union.

A school official says school policy bans males from wearing dresses. Excluding Logan from prom, he says, was based on "the dress code, not the student's homosexuality."

His mother says she's not surprised by what she calls the ignorance of school administrators.

A person should wear whatever they damn well please. If wearing a dress expresses whatever he wants to express, then so be it. As long as no one is making anyone else wear a dress, it’s not my business, and I’d be a lot more offended by those trying to make it their business than by him.

That being said, the main thing this thread brought to mind is when I was working as a waiter a long, long time ago and one evening we had quite a few prom people. I had a two-top of two girls. Both were dressed in conventional male prom attire, though with certain not so conventional variations (e.g., the one was unbuttoned to or almost to her waist and thus was proudly displaying her braless moderate or greater assets to anyone who managed to position himself at the correct angle, which I did as often as possible). They were both quite attractive, and much closer to the male porn version of lesbians than to real life dyke-looking lesbians. Though they might well have been gay or at least bi, I’ve always guessed it was more of a lark—just a couple of girlfriends thumbing their nose at tradition and trying to be outrageous.

No doubt you’d have to have been there to fully appreciate why, but it was one of the more strangely erotic things I’ve seen, to the point I can still remember it decades later.

Can we get this moved or deleted? This post reflects very poorly on your forum and your site... Don't we have a private forum for this kind of crap?

Blimey - Tweedledumb pops up with an attempt at humour and then Tweedledumber tries to have a go as well.

I'm just letting you know that you are being watched, both of you. I have been in secret discussions with the powers that be at SBR about the conduct of you two on the forums. Obviously I cannot disclose the details of these discussions since I had to sign a privacy clause written in virgin's blood to prevent this sensitive information becoming public knowledge.

The only reason SBR keeps you around is because posting is slow these days otherwise you would be gone in a heartbeat.

Judge declares man is too small for prison

Sidney, Nebraska - A judge said a 5-foot-1 man convicted of sexually assaulting a child was too small to survive in prison, and gave him 10 years of probation instead.

His crimes deserved a long sentence, District Judge Kristine Cecava said, but she worried that Richard W. Thompson, 50, would be especially imperiled by prison dangers.

"You are a sex offender, and you did it to a child," she said.

But, she said, "That doesn't make you a hunter. You do not fit in that category."
