Default Will the Lakers beat the '95-'96 Bulls record?

Of 72-10? Will the Lakers only lose 9 games this year?

I think they can because Phil Jackson will keep them motivated.

This Laker team is way more deep than that Bulls team. If they stay motivated, they may only lose 5 games all year.

Lets not forget that the Lakers have a center, while the Bulls didn't.

This team is probably the most complete team in the last 25-30 years. They would give the Lakers and Celtics of the 80's a run for their money. No doubt.

If everyone stays healthy and they keep playing like they have been, I don't see why not.

However, I do agree with jtuck. Being in the West will make it that much tougher.

They may be a better team, but no chance at the record playing in the West.

I was about to say the Bulls had Jordan...but it's really remarkable how Kobe has elevated himself to that level.

Alot of No's. While the Lakers have come out and demolished teams without even breaking a sweat. I think in the first 4 games, they are averaging beating teams by 21 points. I dont care who they are...when you can average like that...you are a team that wont lose often.

They got tested by the Clippers the other night, until that 22-0 or something run to end the game.

Thats the point. The Patriots got tested last year as well, Onlooker. They still went 16-0. Did they not? This Laker team, if they stay focused, will not lose.

Long season, and there will be let downs, more then 10 I feel. I hate the Lakers as much as the best Laker Hater, but like I said in another thread, they are very good and 10 deep. I just feel they will not beat the 72 win Bulls.

Me and you agree, Onlooker. I hate the Lakers as well. But I gotta give props here too. I dont think this team will lose 10 games. If they stay commited to winning...there isnt a team in the league that can beat them.

They should be underdogs on the road against dallas, denver, san antonio, new orleans, utah, houston, portland, and phoenix. Plenty of hard games, and they will not go close to undefeated at home either.

No way, rm. They will be favored...or a pick...at worse.

I hope I can get some value with the Lakers being underdogs. I don't start betting NBA the end of November, beginning of December. Mostly money line underdogs. I would love some plus money Laker bets this year.

You guys might be right about the lines, but I remember a couple years ago the Spurs were only underdogs once all season, they still probably lost 20 games

rm- they can beat Spurs, Suns, Nuggets, Portland, Jazz, Rockets in their own building....the only team in the west they may have problems with is the Hornets.

This was before they got Billups, and was a horrible line, made some money off it, I am talking real line not Vegas line anyway.

Real line for that game about 4. With Billups Denver -2

You're high, rm. If you give me 2 when the Lakers go back into Denver...just let me know how much you want to bet...I'll cover it.

2 is accurate I would need a pick to bet it, I would seriously bet them at pick, it is just that no reason to when I can get a better line.

If the Lakers stay healthy, they have a shot.
