Libby is likely a done deal. His sentence was commuted by Bush, but with the conviction Libby can't practice law. Or exercise his right to vote for the Neocon of his choice.
Bush will likely fix that. Set it at -800. The big deal, tho, is the guy few Americans have heard about. Clinton wanted to pardon him in his last few days in office, but an army of active and former intelligence specialists descended on him in an uproar. The spy, they told Clinton, had done more damage to the US than anyone since Benedict Arnold. It seems the guy was stealing top secret defense info, and passing it on to an alledged "friendly" government. Some of those secrets, however, also ended up on the world's black market, and China reputedly bought a handful. Other secrets that the superspy funneled to his true homeland (where he is consdered a martyred hero, with a huge backpay pot of gold waiting for him if released) were the names and locations of the US agents in place, behind what was then the Iron Curtain. Most of those US operatives were killed by the governments they were spying on. No, the American intellignce establishment surely does not like this guy. They'd really like to see him dead. But it's likely that Bush will pardon and free him, in mid-January, before heading to "cut brush" in Texas. For the same basic reason we invaded Iraq, and with 4000+ US soldiers killed. And with that tragic and useless venture ongoing. |

The intelligence people will likely descend in a rage upon Bush, as they did successfully with Clinton.
But Bush, and his Svengali, Cheney, are pretty much in the pocket of the govt in question. I am fairly sure they have sex photos of Cheney's Lesbian daughter, that why he's been their obedient servant these last 8 years Set the freeing of the Superspy at even money |
