So i sent 270 via moneygram. they received my money i actually won 200 on the monday night game last night. i sign on today and my account is suspended because apparently my moneygram transfer was blocked. I call moneygram and they tell me they blocked the transfer because the persons name that the sportsbook gave me was similar to a name on the govts. list not to do business with. However they still removed the block and apparently are going to put the money back in my sportsbook. This is real shady, and im kinda nervous about it.

Has anyone else had any similar situations to this and what was the outcome. Is this legal or not let us know. Because if it is illegal why the hell are there literally millions of people in the us betting online.

Thats scary. They probably gave you a made up name that just by chance was on a watch list. Hopefully the Feds don't come kick in your door later if Moneygram snitched you....

Same shit happened to me. I contacted the book who gave me the name and they just gave me a different name.

No the books pay for this service. This countries make up names and there in connection with MG in those countrries, they are bound to pick a name on some list sometime.
