Default NBA - tough to cap but very exciting this year

I would of never thought Clevland could extend Detroit to 7 or the Clippers could take the Suns to 7, although that is a little less shocking.

Anyone remember Miami? They come in well rested and could give the fading Pistons all they can handle. How about a nibble on Miami to win it all?

Will the survivor of the Dallas San Antonio series have enough left to win two more series?

Exciting, definitely, so far. 3 of the 4 semifinal series go to 7 games. I've been following NBA more this year than I have since Jordan retired. In fact, last year I renounced my NBA fandom and didn't watch a second of the NBA finals. But, I have to admit that if I couldn't bet/handicap the games, I would have little interest. Betting is the only thing getting my interest rekindled.

That said, I can't handicap the NBA playoffs worth crap. In fact, fading my "instincts" would be yielding a healthy profit so far. Luckily, I'm either been fading myself or not betting the games. Yesterday, my gut said take the Cavs+8, but I took Detroit-8 instead! haha. I can't tell ya how wierd it feels watching the game when I'm fading myself.

Here's my "gut" picks for tonight. (fade these plays.)
    -Mavs+4
    -Clips+4

I strongly feel that whoever comes out of the west will take it.

Here's a bet I particuarly like at 5 Dimes: right now, betting against Detroit to win it all, you can have the field at -120.

The HEAT are tough..I believe the NBA is the toughest sport to handicap..So many variables..The PISTONS almost lost to manboy and the CAVS..Wade just so good, the HEAT with RILEY at the helm have a great shot..

i'm really not sure what to think about the heat/pistons series. oh sure, the heat are well rested. although, that could be bad due to the "rust factor".

BIGBOY..Forget the rust factor..I have been around the game long enough..At this stage, you are looking for the rest, especially SHAQ..You have time to prepare, and coaches like RILEY are intimate with the PISTON system..Saunders is a nice coach, but RILEY gets the edge here..I love the HEAT..

L-O-C-K I just cant see Detroit beating Miami and Dallas. They are not playing good at the worse time.
