at sportsinteraction.com i made a bet on barerra last night. they marked it as a loss. i contacted them for a correction. their response was that their rules state that in the event of an overturned decision, the original bet stands. that is in their rules. my contention is that it was a miscount, not an overturn. what arte your opinions about this? I think i was screwed. they refuse to discuss the matter with me any more. i have spent thousands with them over the past few years. it is hard to believe that they are so set on keeping this small wager. I told them they screwed me out of this, but they will never see another dime of my money.

whatever the final decesion was at the end of that fight while in that ring, is how the fight should be graded.

thanks for the welcome. So you say they are right? I would think a miscount was just an accident and not an overturn. Wouldnt an overturn be for a failed drug test, etc. it seems like a mistake should not be an overturn. But i suppose you know more than me. It was a small bet and for all the money I have given them, you would think they would have given it to me. Thanks for the response. I look forward to using your site in the future

it makes me wonder if that is a different way to fix a fight. that way, the decision is correct, but if you bet on a draw, you win big bucks. that would be a new twist on fight fixing. just pay the judge to miscount, therefore winning your bet, then have him discover the mistake later.

i would like to know if anyone in here bet on the draw. if so, was it counted as a win? if it was, i would definitely feel better.

The correct decision for grading purposes is a draw. However, if you are playing at a S-H-I-T book then you can expect to get robbed. Las Vegas and any respected bookie since the beginning of time grades a draw as "no action" for bets on either fighter.

When a fight ends in a draw, the book wins every prop bet, including all bets that specified a round, all bets that have decision, or KO specified. Its criminal that they are allowed to keep all money bet on either fighter too!!! Are you kidding me?

I suggest you play at Pinnacle or any number of respected books that grade a draw as "no action".

thanks for the advice chuck. like i said on the other thread, a draw was an option. as for using that site, i use it mainly for one reason that makes them very profitable for me on certain occassions. normally, i use olympic, which is clearly a much better book.

This is the foundation of the problem in grading this a draw. It is just too easy to say DRAW (books make bank) and then "discover" the miscount. Outcome is never altered but the payouts sure are.

dakota5369, Have you read the rules on the book that ruled Barrera and Juarez ticket holders as losers? I read that some books including Las Vegas have a rule that pays on the officially announced results on the night of the fight. You may have a case.
