Yah that sucks. When he broke through the gate I knew he was screwed. He hit his knees on the race. Even worse right before the race they were playing the themesong to the movie Dreamer. I did make some money though as I decided to back up my Brother Derek bet who they were ripping with 2 minutes left on Bernadini. I had 50/50 on him and did a $1 trifecta over BD and sweet and all in 3rd so I got half the trifecta. Too bad I did not play the super and its 22k payoff. sigh.

so they say. I am not sure I have EVER seen a horse break through the gate and not get scratched. If this was not the Preakness and he was not the fave I guarentee he would not have run.

Two fractures above the ankle. Career done, but they said they have to watch the blood flow to that area to see if its the end of Barbaro.
