My complaint about the 128 Man Tourney
So I don't generally enter forum contests other than Beat The Prick but for whatever reason, this caught my eye this time around.
I didn't really know what to expect and my first round match is against dr03 whom I don't know very well. Long story short, before I even know what happened, without so much as a how-do-you-do - BOOM! - he's put in 10 NBA picks and gone 8-2. 8 - 2!! Great! I only need to beat 8-2! Fabulous! Like, am I not entitled to some kind of honeymoon my first time in the tourney? Is there no clause against steamrolling the newbies? Nice picking dr03. I've got 10 NFL picks for tomorrow and I hope to get after you but geez Louise. Mudcat--->  <---dr03

With this format you need to have some luck along the way with the draw. Its not a true test of who is the best handicapper at this site. The final winner will need to be good and lucky.

If Dro continues posting all 10 plays at once, sooner or later he will have a batch that doesn't profit what it needs to, getting him eliminated.
Congrats to him on his win ratio in this round though.  |

Mud, the great thing about the format this time is we've eliminated the ability to hit a "Hail Mary" play to rob opponents, so you'll need to outwit the gentleman to advance.

the guy i'm playing did the same thing, and i'm glad he did, he went 5-5, showed all his cards, now i know what i have to do to beat him..mainly weather or not i even have to play 10 games

Yeah I'm just starting with 8 plays. They are in. I have some "if needed" plays in mind on later games.
