the tigers in first place

i must admit i never thought i'd see the motor city kittys be in first place at this time of the season. this team has really played well for leyland this year.

Their pitching has been awesome this year. They lead the majors in shutouts, so it doesn't shock me that much.

there pitching is very suprising this year. i didn't think that staff could pitch that well. we are so use to the tigers staff giving up 6-8 runs a game, and this year there not even close to that.

i'm just wondering if and when they will start to faulter.

They got a clutch homerun today by Granderson with two outs in the bottom of the 9th. Yes, I had the Reds.

they scored both of there runs to both tie the game, and take the lead with 2 outs. what makes it even sicker is though looker, is there was 2 strikes on each player on those batters.

There's noway they keep this pace up. I fully expect their pitching to fade.

We thought the same of the White Sox last year, and some how they kept pace.

I think we will know by June 4th whether the Tigers are for real.

The Tigers big test will start on May 29th, when they play the Yankees in a 4 game set followed by the Red Sox that following weekend at home.

they have a tough couple of series in june. if they survive the june swoom, they just might be for real.
