The info you gave above was already available from MLB.com when you posted it (I don't know when it first became available) and became available within a couple of minutes on Yahoo (which usually seems a bit slow, but in this case beat DB to press ...)

I can guarantee that we had that information before MLB.com because we have a feed direct from them and sent this out 10 minutes before that feed came to the office. The best thing I can say is to signup for 2 weeks free, and watch us beat your information sources. If we do and make you money, sign up. If we dont, dont. Simple and risk free way to see what I am saying is the truth.

I could probably post here some injuries, and then tell you to wait 10 minutes, and we could watch the SBR screen paint. The reason why is this:

1.) I woudl post here when I get the injury
2.) 10 minutes later DB sends it
3.) People bet off the info on the DB screen and the line moves

I could do this all day long. And anyone that knows how to use this information would find value in our screen. Recreational bettors and chasers would get by fine with SBRs free service as it is very close to real time. (I would say we beat them by less than a minute most of the time, and when they are slower it is usually a problem with their feed I imagine.) In fact the biggest compliment that I can pay to SBR is that they are the ones that made me build a web-version of the lines service.

we are $250 a month. With group rates and other specials the price can get down to $200. Also we have a risk-free trial for 2 weeks that doesnt cost a thing.

I've used G&J for a long time now. A big difference between the two is that Pinny is live at G&J and it's not at DB. DB gives out a lot of false information and they will correct themselves 5 or 10 minutes later. I could go on and on but it's best to just take the free trial for yourself and ask Mike questions.

    by the way from G&J

Also the above info comes in the form of a pop up. It can be set so no matter what screen that you are on it will pop up so that you have instant up to date information.

I'd doubt you regularly beat SBR's line feed by much more than a few seconds, however, I'll definitely check you out again. That being said, without access to the raw feed (and remember it's the feed that's propietary not the information) I may have to stick with my homemade toys ...

I wrote this at another forum but having G&J is nice to scout books that you want to add. You can see the lines at all books. If one book consistently has the best line for your plays then make a deposit in that book and start playing there.

I also like to compare Vegas books to Offshore. It's funny how they differ. For instance almost all Offshore books have Tulane -3.5 while Vegas books have -4.

Yea, I hope I didnt come off the wrong way. I actually meant it as a compliment about the speed of SBR. For a free service being within a minute of a paid premium is a job well done. However, because of the technology used we will be a little faster. Smith can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe they are on a 15 second delay before their refresh (I believe this because their screen freezes on me every 15 seconds). So between that, and the interval that they are gathering the lines they are just a little delayed. Again, if all you need is to track odds while they are moving or after, you cant beat SBRs service for the price (FREE). However, if you are betting a little bit bigger and need info before the line moves, a premium service is the way to go. My personal recommendation for any pro is to have both DB and GJ, but if you are going to choose just 1, the edge in value has to goto GJ because of what you get for the price.

Is the $250/mo. for the gold or silver service and what are the differences between the two?

If the trial is "risk-free", why do I have to put in a CC number and how can I get a trial if I don't want to put in a CC number?

I have been thinking about subscribing to a line service and everyone says G&J is better than DB. I would certainly like to check out what G&J has to offer.

I put the CC thing in there as a safety mechanism to keep people from getting 2 week trials over and over. Basically anyone can change an IP address or Email, so I figured people have a limited number of ************. To be specific, when you put in your CC it goes through a 1-way hash and is stored in the database. If you try to get another free trial it will notice that your CC number is already in the database and wont allow you to get a second trial. This was the best solution to prevent fraud while still allowing a user-friendly way to get a free trial. One other thing to mention is that G&JUpdate will never auto-rebill. So even if you put your card in, you have to ask to renew via the fprm on the website or over the phone. If after the trial you decide against the service (highly unlikely) no further action is required by you after the 2 weeks to ensure that your card is not charged.

the $250 is for the Gold Real-Time service. That rate has been worked down to $2500 for the year, or with group rates of 4 or more accounts $200 a month.

We have a 2 minute delayed version (silver) which cost $69, and off the top of my head I do not know the bulk pricing of it.

If you are still uneasy about leaving a CC after my explanation just email the office gjupdate@gjupdate.com and we can set you up a password.

I am honestly starting to agree with you on this point. I think our silver service will eventually be changed to something much like I showed you a few weeks ago. It will be a live, lite version.

Putting pseudo-scam books up on line service would seem to be bad policy imho. How do players know that they are scam books? Including them in a legitamate line service kind of helps them fleece the unknowing.

Put a banner on our homepage so the people will know.

Also, I still believe in what I said earlier. Many people have never had a problem with some of these books and still play into them. The people paying the $250 for a line service have usually been around the block and know all of the books on our screen. I believe your problems are with Royal, BetUS, and SBG from an earlier post of yours... but all of which were specifically requested by some of our users.
