    Default Tuesday Thumbs

The purpose of this thread is to give tribute or scorn to things in the world of sports, betting or whatever. THUMBS UP or THUMBS DOWN .

to pop-ups at MVP sportsbook. Every time I log-in I get not one but two popups having to do with horses. If I have any questions about betting the horses at MVP, how about I give you a call? Scrap the pop-ups. Worse, your website times out too fast. So not only am I having to keep logging in over and over, I have to shut down your pop ups every time too. :thumbs_do :thumbs_do :thumbs_do

:thumbs_up to Joffrey Lupul of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. In their 4-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche in game 3 of their second round series, Lupul scored all 4 of his teams goals, including the overtime winner. That is an effort which is not to be sneezed at.

Gotta give a :thumbs_up to local workhorse pitcher Roy Halladay who has just been named AL Player of the Week. A 4-hitter followed by a 3-hitter will do that.

to Latvian Hockey fans. I know what you're thinking, Yawn! Another rant about Latvian hockey fans? But seriously, I love Latvian hockey fans. Hockey is a religion over there and I can appreciate that. They are some of the most vocal and supportive fans in the world and I was excited for them getting to host the event. But when they disrupted their 11-0 World Hockey Championships loss to Canada by littering the ice with shoes, cell phones and coins, that was bad form. :thumbs_do

:thumbs_do Rasheed Wallace 3-13 shooting and a stupid guarantee

:thumbs_do Pistons for letting Cleveland back into the series

:thumbs_up Whoever took Cleveland 30-1 to win the series and still is riding the pick - although you better take the profit and run before game 5

:thumbs_do to the Latvian hockey team for giving their fans reason to litter the ice with shoes, cell phones, coins, etc.

:thumbs_up to Ryan Miller again for being absolutely amazing in the face of a barrage of shots from the best offensive team in the league.

:thumbs_do to Brian Murray for saying he never thought the Senators would lose to the Sabres after they did so in 5 games. This genius also said his team took Buffalo lightly, presumably in an effort to show what a terrible job he did of preparing his team.

:thumbs_up to the Mavericks for making my future on them to win the Western Conference look like a very good bet.

:thumbs_do to the NBA officials. The next well-officiated game in these playoffs will be the first.

:thumbs_up to the Padres and Phillies for their impressive win streaks.

:thumbs_do to the Padres last night, for giving up 3 unearned runs, still leading 5-4 in the 8th, and losing in extra innings.

:thumbs_up to the general public for being such a good fade in the NBA last night.

:thumbs_do for Sportingbet, and the Holly management for selling without letting their customers know some days before.
I could give this thumps down every day atm, i can only imagine how bad this group really is if someone plays there regulary and doesnt know about SBR etc...

:thumbs_up for DSI for paying me within 5 minutes today, fastest i ever seen at cris/dsi to neteller

:thumbs_up for the Mavericks, all those "the final can only be Pistons vs. Spurs, who do you think will win???" wise guys shut up for a while now

:thumbs_do for TOW, who not only give the readers (stupid enough to believe those shills) the runaround again with BetonStars, but the forum there gets worse every day...
TOW will post shit like BoS woohoo increased limits yay, and the other clowns will post something like "great stuff at BoS blabla".
I just hate watchdogs who sell out, and do it in such an obvious way too.

To San Antonio for dropping their stadium offer for the Marlins. Going after a team run by Loria was irresponsible to begin with.

To White Sox hitters Scott Podsednik and Chris Widger who chose Monday to hit their first homers of the season. Without their two blasts, I win my under bet in the Chicago-Minnesota game

:thumbsup College Basketball Hall of Fame, for changing the rules (coaches must be retired to be inducted) and inducting Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden. The rule now is that active coaches over the age of 75 are eligible.
    Good Call!

On the retirement announcement of Doug Flutie, I can't help but wonder how many Americans realize what a truly great CFL player he was.

    8 seasons
    6 Most Outstanding Player awards
3 Grey Cups (including 2 here in Toronto)
    3 Grey Cup MVP Awards

    Thumbs up to all that.
