    Default Status of BetJamaica?????

Does Bill or anyone know the current status of BetJamaica? I have a little over $600 in my account and would hate to lose it if their website gets seized...I had a buddy lose a lot of money in the whole BetEd thing and he is BUMMED

With all the seizures taking place/rumored to take place, what is the status of betjam, are they safe, and what are the chances they get seized/go under?

    Thank you.

the chances are about as good as you being able to not lose the 600.00. which means it will be seized eventually when they get around to it. so you might as well start betting 100.00 parlays today and hope to build it up before it happens in about a month.

Jamaica has lost its website domain before (not a seizure, but loss of website is just that..not a loss of funds/proccesor)

Surely books lost out when ******* closed, and most survived. Books will lose domains, and will survive. Betjm remains solid.

Beted was crooks using an excuse to cover their inability to pay. They couldn't withstand even a small loss and closed shop.

You guys seem to be freaking out that when a domain is seized that it means a company is seized ... websites are being seized, not the companies. BetEd has been the only train wreck, but they were a piece of shit book to begin with. Solid books like BetJam are fine. Quit worrying about things you cannot control, but understand what the seizure thing means ... and don't freak out.

    Bizarre post, dude.

Thanks to everyone who responded seriously. The simple facts is that if betjm goes down, that will be the end of online/offshore wagering. If your not safe at betjm, than you arent safe anywhere...they are simply the best in the business.

Which website a book uses has nothing to do with them paying you.

Covers is trying to blame the doj for BetEd players not getting paid saying they have all the player's money and hands are tied etc. It's similar to what BOS said way back. Saying it's out of their control is a cop-out and hurts the rest of the books who don't take the same risks and have funds aside from all the years they profitted. If a book is new or only worth what they have on hand, it's not a book players should use. The US-facing poker companies that are able to pay are paying because they have cash assets aside not because the the US gave them confiscated money back...which was probably only a few months of revenue. That's gone. The truth is that books have been getting porcessors snagged for 5 years and they consider it overhead. Players see the fees go up but a decent book won't tell you that your money is taken by an authority and your SOL.

Obviously no guarantees, but in my experience, BetJam's pretty much the best there is on-line (at least among the books available to American players).
