    Indianapolis 500

Anyone follow Indy Racing at all? I'm going to watch the race tomorrow, like every year, but this year I would like to bet someone To Win. Looks like Dixon and Dario are the favorites, but some nice odds on the Castroneves.

    Educated opinions all welcome. Thanks!

At the odds, Penske guys look the go to me.

Helio as you said, and Briscoe at around +2000.

Thanks for the post. I've played one matchup so far, Servia over Bell. I like this one and I think Servia could have a Top 5 finish in him.

I have Castroneves at +1150 for a small play.

I was thinking the same thing. Imagine having him to win at probably 50-1 or more? That's the worst Bad Beat ever..

Does anyone know what his odds were? He might have just fallen into the Field wager..

    Props on Briscoe 20/1.

Q: what happened on final turn? Happened so fast. Did he just lose it as he was passing lapped car? He had plenty of time. Hell, he almost won on 3 wheels.

A friend of mine had the kid in a $1000.00 winner take all pool. Absolutely crushing. The worst defeat I have ever seen in any sport. He was absolutely crushed. I still think he is in shock.

Coming into Turn 4, there was a lapped car in front of him. The guy was at the bottom of the track, well out of the way. Instead of backing off a little and coasting in, he went full throttle around him, slid up the track and into the "marbles" (old tire rubber) and kept coasting into the wall. He was so far into Turn 4 that he almost skid across the finish line against the wall. He still came in second, I believe.

I'm not a huge Indy car follower, but all of the commentators are saying it was just a rookie mistake and there was no need to pass that lapped car at 225 MPH
