Has anyone ever dealt with BetonSports. I see they are rated C+. Any input would be appreciated.

Dishonest book, but may have value for some players.

The type of book that will screw around with bonuses, try to nail you with technicalities in the rules, and in general operate in a gray area ethically. Have out and out stiffed people in the past.

To be stiffed outright, you probably have to be a highly undesirable customer—betting for a syndicate, win a huge amount of money, etc. If you’re an ordinary player, even one who wins small or moderate, it’s unlikely they’ll confiscate your account, though don’t be shocked if they find some nitpicky way to steal a small amount of money from you to let you know you’re not welcome there.

Absolutely huge family of books, so unlikely they’ll go broke and simply close up shop and keep everyone’s money.

In recent times they have been trying to buy respectability by advertising on as many “watchdog” sites as will have them, and paying shills like that Raiders guy to tout them. The plus side of this is that all these bought newfound allies will now be supremely embarrassed if this group of books steals from people, so they have an incentive to see to it that doesn’t happen, at least not to anyone who posts on the forums. So if you do have a problem, contact one of the places they advertise and they’ll surely try to get you paid and satisfied so no bad news goes public.

C+ is a misleadingly high grade. I’d say maybe D+. I am more comfortable with the Sportingbet group and SIA—to name a couple—than this bunch, even though those books carry grades lower than BetOnSports’s C+.

Books in this group can definitely have good value in terms of bonuses, line variation, low vig promos, etc.

Consider all the risks and rewards before playing at one of these books.

I tend to agree more with TLD's rating of BOS than I do of SBR's...I played there about five years ago and was jerked around...eventually got paid...they claim to have new management, but I still read a lot of complaints...

BetOnSports are the same crooks that still owe on past stiff jobs. Most people on these boards do not play there, so you do not see many complaints about them. They still cancel winning bets claiming bad line, even though bettors make the wager days before the event.

Pretty good write up TLD. You covered a lot of strong points especially the one about BoS buying all the watchdogs.Btw, there are at least 2 Sportingbet umbrella books with a higher rating than BOS and SportInteraction is also higher rated. They have been on the upgrade trail for a year.

Thanks for the clarification on the ratings. I hadn’t looked at SIA’s rating in awhile; I remembered them being about a D+. It looks like now they have the same grade (C+) as BetOnSports.
