CNBC anchor MARK HAINES has passed away

CNBC anchor Mark Haines has died at 65, the network announced Wednesday. Haines was the co-host of "Squawk on the Street" and had been at CNBC since 1989. He was one of the network's most familiar faces.
CNBC President Mark Hoffman said Haines died at his home on Tuesday evening.
"With his searing wit, profound insight and piercing interview style, he was a constant and trusted presence in business news for more than 20 years," Hoffman said in a statement.
The network produced this look back at some of Haines' most memorable moments with his longtime co-host, Erin Burnett, when she left CNBC.

what's the matter nos, did he dare disagree with you at some point ?

Had the pleasure of meeting him one evening many many moons ago at a 'do' in NYC, was IMO one of the smarter talking heads on CNBC

not arguing that, just not seeing much point in a comment like that against a news journalist who you never knew, met or interacted with and compared to so many others did not have the conflicts of interest or outright being on the payroll of one side of the story being told ...

Liked to catch him on Squawk Box if I could. Wasn't one of the rah rah types, would give a fair appraisal of what he thought was happening in the market. RIP.

He was great for many, many years. Nearly made Barney Frank cry on the air last year.

I enjoyed watching him in the morning. He had a good handle on the financial industry. RIP.

You have to routinely keep your money in a brokerage account, and not a shoe box to be aware of his work Trace.

Death happens. Who cares if it's somebody that was on TV? People aren't starting threads about the kids that die from starvation everyday.
