Retired in 1996 when I was in my early 40s and could still walk. Great game, though

I know what you mean Willie Bee,I have all these little aches and pains the next morning after a game that I didnt have 10 yrs ago......Did something to my achillies tendon awhile back and its taking forever to heal up....

I still play @ a high level as I really enjoy it,unbelieveable how big this sport has become.Trying to keep up with all the new equipment is almost impossible but I enjoy that part of it too. When I get a new bat I'm like a 5yr old on x-mas day

    It's been a long time since I played. 15+ years (???)

I have a painful memory of the last time I played softball. It was quite embarrassing so I'm sure everyone would like to hear about it.

I volunteered to play in a tournament for a company I was working for back then. I played quite a bit of hardball in those days and figured I would be the team hotshot. The problem was I was used to hardball pitching and I was flailing away a mile in front of those lobs.

I actually struck out in my first at bat which was embarrassing to say the least.

I play too much. I play 2-3 times during the week and weekends for tournaments. In 2003 our team was ASA "Class D" National Champs (Woodies).

I haven't played for 10 years and started up again in a non-competitive league this year.

I sprain lots of fat when I swing. But I really forgot how much fun it can be.

    You guys are The Woodies?

You must have some good one-liners about that.

Never played. But have been interested in joining a league, but just never got around to doing it. It always seems to get moved down the list of things to do.

I will be joining a few friends in a employee golf tournament in June. Never really played golf either, so this should be a interesting day when it comes.

Yes...since then we changed our name to the Peckers so alot of us can play at the same level (class D). After winning Nationals they Classified most of our players to C. There is a big difference between class c and class D ball.
