Maybe you can help me?
A buddy of mine sent me a document via E-mail that I was supposed to open with MS Excel, But when I opened there was only these weird symbols. Anybody ever encountered this type of problem? |

you need to have excel on your computer, if you bought it sometime in the last few years you should have a 60 day trial period for excel you can use, start/programs/microsoft office/microsoft excel, you gotta d/l it, if not then you either gotta buy the disc or borrow it

OpenOffice is very good, and will do almost everything Excel does; the stuff that it won't is unlikely to come up for you any time soon and you can switch over documents at will if it happens. Free is good.

Also, if you DO have Excel and it is an older version than what your friend is using, the document will not be compatible with your program.
