I know it's a big international event but more action than the SB and March Madness combined?

    I'm skeptical.

I don't know, Mud. It seems legit to me. Granted, not a lot of USA action. But the rest of the world is as crazy, if not more so, about their football as we Yanks are about ours.

It might be reasonable to assume that more money is bet on the Super Bowl and March Madness, while more bets are taken on World Cup.

    ?????

    Are they serious?

That is a complete lie. They are not within a million light years of this and they know it. So, yes, thats a flat out lie.

As a side note, I remember Euro 2004 and the Thai government actually blocked internet access to a large number of bookies because they feared the consequences. And that was just the European Championships.

Asians love football and they love betting so events such as this go off the scale.

I know this is true because I myself tried to log onto William Hill, coral, etc while I was there and just got this page of Thai script which i assumed was saying "BACK OFF".

Superbowl is one single game. And most of the world has never even heard of March Madness. Sur-priiise! American colleges don't make much of a ripple in Quatar.

And by the way, the rest of the world is amused when confronted with the American habit of celebrating national champions as 'World champs'.

Go ask a few of those oil sheiks, you know, in that part of the world we're trying to take over, how much they'd be willing to bet on a World Cup game.

And I also think that more people will watch the World Cup Final than Olympic curling. I know this might come as a shock to you.

Surely you're not referring to the Land of the Free.

Well, the best of these foreigners take the free trip to America and stay here anytime whey want and litter it with their pigeon English and horrible personal hygiene.

Of course, until the Wolrld Championshiips or Olympics, then these same people are the 1st to admit they are a foreigner( Nowitski, Nash, Yao, Matsui) and the rest of them.

I say take all their money and give them a one way ticket back to their "country" or just kill them on the spot. Makes no difference to me.

You'd be surprised how many people have an unfavorably opinion of fascism.
