Default OT but I need someone to explain the benefits of...

tipping a dealer in a casino. I just read on vegasreference.com that they suggest tipping dealers $5/hr.

I just don't believe in giving my money away for that.

Waitress - sure I'll tip them - they can give you great service, do some extra things for etc. etc.

But what exactly does a dealer do special???

I'm with you. I'm a pretty good tipper in general but that one is beyond me.

Some people do it out of superstition. Like they really think it's going to affect their luck. I find it painful to be near people that dopey.

I just got back from Vegas and only tipped when I was on a real hot streak. Other than that, I would tip a few buck here and there.

Dont usually play table games and no need to tip.

I only tip at the bars and waitresses. Also tip at the book window when I hit a big ticket and havent had a losing week.

Hey Illusion. How much did you tip Nancy? I know she cleaned your clock that night.

it really just depends on how how the craps table is.

if i'm hitting the numbers at a perty good clip, i'll just put a little something extra on the top of my bet for them. if it hits i give the dealers the option of taking it down, or let it ride with me. (it's a nice way around there bullshit betting for the dealer rule.)

a few years back when i did this method for the dealers they made roughly $2,000, and i made roughly $23,000 that night.
