Bobby Stoops was the starting strong saftey
Mike Stoops was also in the secondary
Kurt Ferentz was the strength coach
Barry Alvarez was the defensive coordinator
Bill Snyder was the offensive coordinator
Hayden Fry was head coach

There are many more coaches and players that many of you would recognize.


Bobby and Mike Stoops were in my "coaching of football" class, as well as many other classes. I will never forget how pissed I was to recieve a "B" in this course.

I was very good friends with Barry Alvarez, and in fact, spent Thanksgiving at his house one year.

Barry Davis, who is now the head wrestling coach at Wisconsin, was one of my closest friends when I attended Iowa.

hayden fry was nicknamed "the silver fox"

and

the visiting locker rooms at iowa's home stadium are painted pink inside, because coach fry was big into psychology, and felt that the pink color inside softened up the opponent
