Default Day - Night Double Headers

    i think they really suck

just another way for the owners to make more money

why should the Sox or Yankees have 1 sellout in a day if they can have 2

id like to see them done away with and just play the games back to back

maybe even a 1/2 hour or hour delay for the players to go take a crap or something

but no need to make all the fans leave

I just don't like the idea of charging the fan twice...not like they won't make enough in concessions with people being at the park all day...

Here is a previous thread that had some discussion about ticket prices.
    The cultural impact of baseball...

This link was also in that thread, but I will post it here to.

Thanks onlòóker, this article (http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5493070) from your post makes very interesting reading.

IMHO it's not as expensive as I thought it would be but as pags11 rightly states, I'll bet they make 'an arm and a leg' on the concessions.

your right bud. concessions and parking will cost you alot more than the tickets will.

parking is roughly $12-$50 bucks all pending where you park at, and beer will cost you roughly $7 bucks

They were scheduled as two separate games to start with. Two sets of tickets already sold (assuming that at least a few had been purchased for the game the first time around.) They're not adding a game, just choosing not to willingly eliminate a home game. Not so brazen, IMO.

The team is going for the cash by having these day-night doubleheaders. As a guy who likes cash myself, I find it hard to begrudge them. It's nice to be warm and fuzzy and give stuff away but a ball team is a business. If the market will bear it, a business is going to try to maximize profit.

Exactly. They are not doing anything wrong here. Just a full day of baseball for the die hard fans.
