Default Stern admits NBA refs blow calls

In a news conference before tonight's Nets-Pacers game, NBA commissioner David Stern admitted that NBA officials are missing calls.

"Absolutely!" he told reporters. "It happens at least probably 5 percent of the time," adding "Our goal is to make the officiating perfect, at 100 percent. We have not and we never will achieve that result. But I think we have the best officials... in all of sports."
the refs in the playoffs were for shit in that suns/lakers game on sunday as well.

What do you guys think about Sterns comments, and the NBA refs in general?

He just says what he needs to; he's the one ordering the BS calls. We all know that.

Im with OWNED on this one. Stern just says what he needs to. To make things not look that bad. When things are actually terrible.

Jordan and the Bulls had to play the opposing team and the team of referees every year they won the championship.

Stern is just a master of the obvious. We're told in umpire schools that if you leave a game with a score of 96 or better, you've had a great night. So expecting the human eye/element to catch every call and make each and every call correct is naive of any fan, coach or player.

As for Stern directing bad calls be made, I'm not buying that.
