Nice bonus available at this book. 25% on a deposit of 2K or more. 6x rollover. There are other bonuses at other deposit levels (including free $21 no-deposit accounts). Check the website for full terms and conditions.
On top of that they are a reduced juice shop, with -108 lines on hoops and football. They've got low-breaking dime lines on MLB.
They are a book that has slapped some restrictions on some players (including myself). My general sense is that they are lightening up on that. If anyone has any experience with that, I would appreciate hearing about it. With me, they quickly reduced my limits from $2000 to $1000 to $500, but then I spoke to them on the phone and they put them back up to 1K.
Very good CS there. I like the people.
Good on payouts.

I did the free $21 bet deal, worked it up to $100 which was the max payout. I talked to CS in live chat, and they said they needed my ID, which I sent via email, then they said they didn't get it, then I talked to CS live chat again, resent my ID, CS live chat again, finally I decided to negotiate using my $100 towards an initial signup bonus with a 6x rollover because otherwise I'd have had to wait 6 weeks for a cashier's cheque. They agreed, but said my max cashout would be $200 and would still be cashier's cheque with a 6 week wait. I ended up losing the funds in betting anyway, so I cannot comment on any type of cashout.
Besides the funkiness surrounding the free $21 promo, I thought the site was fast and responsive, which really helps me being on a slow internet connection. Some downsides were that they didn't have overnight lines whatsoever, and the lines were pretty generic on standard bets. Some nice lines on hoops halves sometimes, though. Basically zero props. If I they offer a blockbuster bonus for football season, I might reup for a small amount just to play halves.

I question if these no deposit accounts are a smart thing to offer. Pags had some problems with his payout from a free account at Actionbets too - and so that got kicked around the forum for awhile. Plus they attract a lot of underage players who end up flaming the book on the forums when they can't get paid.
It just seems like a bad publicity generator.
I wonder if the upside for the book is really big enough to offset that.

I deal 100% with Neteller, so waiting on a cashier's check really wasn't the way I wanted to go. I sorta begged and begged to get cashed back to Neteller, but they absolutely wouldn't do it. I don't understand WTF why not. I even offered to make a Neteller deposit, but they said that the free $21 promo earnings would still have to be processed via cashier's check. That part really was a sticking point for me.

I've heard the same story from others too. They are inflexible on those no-deposit account payouts. I'm sure they have their reasons but, like I say, it just seems to generate frustration and I really wonder if it is a good marketing strategy.Originally Posted by slacker00

Just to get a little explanation on the $21 free promo...
First of all, we at Action Bets would like to apologize for all the hassles that were created by the free accounts.
The problem was that we consulted with the bank previous to even setting up the promotion and we were told that there would be NO problem with the checks getting cashed in the US. This being one of the 3 biggest banks in Costa Rica, we figured that it really wouldn't be a problem and that everyone would be able to cash their checks.
However, that wasn't the case...
The first couple of people who called us with troubles cashing the check were using small credit unions, so at first we thought that was the problem and just advised them to try a bigger bank. However, people ended up having the same problem at Wells Fargo, BkofAma, etc.
At no point in time was there meant to be so many hassles with getting paid out. Cash customers know us for our quick, hassle-free payouts. So you can see that it would be frustrating for us when people are getting an opposite image of Action Bets due to a promo that went bad.
It's bad. I see posts on the forums about us with all our cash customers talking about our juice, our lines, our fast payouts, etc. They're all happy customers. And then the people who tried us with the $21 promo talk about not getting paid or getting paid too slow; and they have every right to do so. But it's frustrating when all the bad posts could have been good posts. We would have threads where all the customers posting are happy customers.
We HAVE done something to fix it though. Instead of sending checks from our bank account, we are now sending "Bank Checks." These checks are bought from the bank directly, they are not drafted from an account. They are supposed to be cashable anywhere. We do have to pay for each check, but we provide them at no cost to our customers.
We have not had any complaints yet with this new method and hopefully never will. This one seems to be working.
And I would like to invite any of you who had a bad time with the promo to go ahead an try us out as regular customers. I know it's a lot to ask, but it would be great to change the image you got with the free promo.
Anyways, thanks for letting us get our side of the story out here.

Thanks for posting Aden. I agree, it's a shame to get bogged down with this pesky glitch when there is so much good about the book.
As I said from the start: nice bonuses, reduced juice, good CS, good payouts.
Thumbs up from me. :thumbs_up

After reading the positive intro here I signed up and was ready to open an account for a few K, but Actionbets didn't even reply to my first e-mail.

They do run quite low staffing levels.

I think I was using "support@actionbets.com", and getting slow and no responses. The only time I got any interaction is when I opened the Live Chat. I wish I'd known about this other email address at the time. Good info, pags.Originally Posted by pags11

oh... my email is actually aalfaro@actionbets.com. you can also try service@actionbets.com which would probably be the best way to go in case i'm not here.
Also, please keep in mind we're not 24 hours
support@actionbets is a dead email address, it shouldn't be on the website at all. if you could please send us an email with the link on where you saw that, it would be greatly appreciated.

Action Bets for me is a very good book. Less juice, good lines, fast payouts, good software, very courteous customer service.

My mistake, I checked on my correspondence and "LittleMissy" in LiveChat informed me of service@actionbets, which I used.support@actionbets is a dead email address, it shouldn't be on the website at all. if you could please send us an email with the link on where you saw that, it would be greatly appreciated.
But, my initial request for a withdrawal was responded by jason@actionbets.com asking for a copy of my photo ID. I sent a reply, but never got a response. There was no indication of any other email addresses to me at that time. I still have the email if you want me to forward it.

whats the cost for a 2.5k Neteller cashout after the free 1 is used pls?
SBR Founder Join Date: 8/23/2005
From $1500 - $5000 has a $30 fee. Less than $1500 the fee will be 2% of the amount.

thx for the fast answer BK - 1 free and $30 for 5k is good

Was digging through the old posts and found this... Looks like the $21 free promo is done and has been replaced with a $50 for $50 with 10x rollover... the 25% with 6x has been changed to 20% with 7x... looks like smart moves on the books part to me... I'm sure the free cash just attracted a bunch of people looking for free money instead of the small betters that I'm sure they were looking for...
