Default I, for one, welcome an Obama Presidency

Why fight a trend? I will learn to embrace an Obama Presidency.

For now on, if I work at all, it will be a government job. It won't pay much, but if I work for government, I'll be in the ruling class. Obama will see to it.

I'll make sure I qualify for all the government freebies I can get. Obama will just tax those with money to give them to me.

I might have a little bit of a problem being white. But I'll just acknowledge that blacks are my superiors and suck up the best I can. And I'll agree that all blacks should have reparations. Of course, the money won't be coming from me since I'll only be a low paid government worker who is already in need of your tax dollars for my own needs.

So, let's welcome the Obama Presidency. And those of you with money? Obama will help you find your checkbook.

Don't you ever get sick of lieing? People on this board are not idiots and aren't gonna go vote for Mccain because some racist redneck comes on and posts a bunch of neo-con anti-obama trash, I don't like Obama either but I sure as hell won't vote Mccain, go stand out front of a preschool and convince children to convince their parents to vote for Mccain that is your best shot to win votes for him

He is right though, blacks are taking over, whites can't do anything about it. Pretty soon we'll be picking cotton.

What president has lost more private sector jobs than Bush?
What president had to replace them with government jobs to lower unemplyment than Bush?
What president has given more corporate welfare than Bush?
What president was friends with Kenneth Lay whose Enron collapse cost employees jobs, savings and their retirement funds? Bush.

Before you spew your Democratic Party talking points (and these appear to be dusted off from 4 years ago), you might try and remember that Bush INHERITED a declining economy and shortly afterwards 9/11 occurred.

Kenneth lay was friends with many people, including Democrats and Republicans.

I don't understand why republicans hate the middle class, which is the backbone of this country? They may hate welfare but they not only help the poor but also help the middle class business owners, who in turn stimulate the economy by buying TVs, clothes, toys, cars, going to restaurants and movies, etc. But they would rather give this money to corporations so they can build new buildings in China, India and Mexico where they ship our jobs. How does that help our economy?

There is nothing quite so tedious as watching Americans debate politics so I haven't read any of the posts in the thread.

But I certainly agree with that title.

Kenneth Lay gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to democrats like he gave to Bush?

Economy was still growing when Bush entered office. Recession didn't begin until months later. One of the worst economic downturns since the Great Depression!!!!!

Welfare does not help the economy in any way. It takes away from job creators, ie the rich, and gives money to the job takers, ie the poor. Of course in such a wealthy society there needs to be some sort of welfare, but it should only be temporary, and should provide incentive to get off of it.

"The shipping our jobs overseas" argument is worn out. In fact outsourcing helps companies become more efficient, and grow, thus being able to employ more Americans. This in turn helps the economy.

Name a single company that hired more Americans after outsourcing our job.

If welfare handouts don't stimulate the economy then explain the "stimulus checks".

All of them.

Stimulus checks are political posturing, and are harmful to the overall economy in the long run, because the money must be borrowed, and interest must be paid on it. It provides a short term influx of cash to the economy and sounds good to voters, but in reality hurts the economy in the long run.

I really don't think Welfare reform in any fashion is a priority in the Obama campaign. It's pretty much a moot point. There are far more important things to tackle at the moment.

Cant name a single company?

There are many businesses where their very survival are dependent on welfare recepients. Many of them would close if welfare were done away with.

BZZT. Wrong. It hadn't yet entered the official definition of a recession (2 consecutive quarters of decline), but it was definitely in decline. In fact a recession was official in March of 2001. So I guess Bush effed everything up, having been in office 2 months.

Anyway, these are the talking points from 4 years ago. I guess since we are winning in Iraq you are reverting back to them.
