Default Florida is crumbling........terrible economy

Stores and shops closing right and left..........commercial real estate is just as bad as the housing market.

I will be moving from here shortly.

Just in the past 2 weeks, the ALBERTSONS grocery store, a local watering hole, and a 30 year old auction house have shut their doors.

There are tons of restaurants closing down in our area (Clearwater). And guess what is going up in their place? A bank. I have seen this at least five different times. Do we need more banks?

Fishead, buy some cheap property in eastern Canada. Right on the water.

There is not much there other than rocks and water, but what else do you need?

I can see the strategy behind going into the banking industry now... When the gov't does provide economic aid to prevent us slipping into another depression, they are going to look towards banks as being the tool to get people back on track, Loan terms will be reduced, and new starts for most Americans

I've considered Canada, as well as Ireland.

Right now, the favorites for my move are Iowa, Vegas, and Nashville.

Answer me this....

I've been researching the area and visited many forums for opinions on Nashville............have had tons of responses and all but one or two have been overly positive of the city and area.

I can't wait to visit there and spend a few days there........only been though it a couple times. Only 200 miles from Tunica. In fact, I'm crazy about the location..........200 miles from Tunica, 700 from Tampa, 650 from Iowa City, 345 from St. Louis, 150 from Knoxville, 550 to the NY border.

Again, Im really looking forward to visiting, and hope i like it as much as everyone thats been there likes it.

You're right its in a great location. I live in Mobile, AL. as i have all my life. I love Nashville because of the diverse culture that lives there. Anywhere from downtown country music bars, great bbq, great live entertainment, good looking women... Then across the river you have LP Field where the Titans play, Hockey and the Predators are an awesome for of entertainment. The Sommet Center is just ridiculously cool.. It's a huge city and you can get mixed up in whatever you want.. It's truly a well-rounded place.. I love it

Nashville is very nice, especially compared to the other large city in the state.

With Corporate taking over Vegas beating the slots may be difficult at this time.

Im on the Gulf coast in NW FL and real estate sucks, but construction is starting to pick up again for my company. Nothing personal, but we have had way to many folks moving here to FL for to many years. It will be a good thing if we can thin out the population some, do to the economy in the long run, JMO.

later

For me it has never been better. With the foreclosures in housing and the banks scared to lend money to home buyers, my rental property rates have gone up 35% in the last 2 years.
