Default SBR Bill Dozer reports on Sportsbook.com

SBR Bill Dozer reports: Player waiting one month for $3,150 withdrawal from Sportsbook.com(SBR rating D+). SBR to inquire about wire which was validated by managment on March 15th.

Player: "Dear Sirs, I have been experiencing some severe problems with the online sportsbook SPORTSBOOK.COM. As you may see from my attached correspondence, I bet on the 2006 Oscars and won $3,000.00 on Best Picture. I contacted them and asked for withdrawal, filling out their online form for bank transfer.
However, since then, I have not received the money. My account with them shows no money on it, and they keep not responding to my various e-mails. I am desperate! Is there anything I can do? Is there anyhow you could help me with? Please be kind enough to advise! I would be most grateful if you could do anything to help me!!! Thank you so much in advance."

My guess is that this threw up some kind of red flag. Guy must've found an arb with pinnacle and maxxed it out limit-wise. Why do some books lay odds on these oddball events with such high limits if they don't want the action?

I'd like 2 add that the Movie that won "Crash" was
6-1/7-1 maybe that had something to do with it?

The Academy Awards are hardly an oddball event. Just about every book in the world took action on them.

I've made $55K in withdrawals from this family of books without any problem whatsoever.

Surely this is just a technical error. I don't care how many "red flags" his bet might have thrown up.

I'd also like to mention that Crash was a grossly overrated film. It was so contrived that it was downright painful to watch.

I've made limited withdrawls from sportsbooks without any problem whatsoever so far. Nothing like Ricky Steve has though. But, it only takes one time to completely screw someone over.

    Your Withdrawal Receipt
    Withdrawal Amount: $3,150.00
    Withdraw YYYY-MM-DD: 2006-03-15

Once the receipt is issued you can expect to get the money eventually. Botched bank wires and delays is nothing new. The biggest black eye for Sportsbook is selectively cheating winners. The majority of their players can go years without a problem.

It opened at +561 at Pinnacle, but only a $100 limit. By Oscar night, it was ranging from a 4:1 to 2:1 dog on WSEX's live trading.

I found Crash as high as +800.

This person obviously made the bet at +600, because the limit on props at the sportsbook.com family is $500.

It might have been (and I'm assuming it did rise during the Brokeback hype), but those were the prices when I saw them at those specific times.

If you think an event watched by hundreds of millions of people, which can be bet on at 95% of sportsbooks, is oddball, you are an oddball.

sportsbook.com is the worst off all the high profile books out there...it seems like there isn't a week that goes by without some dispute over something. I would advise those who play there to look at different books or keep minimal funds in there.

RickeySteve be very careful who you are calling an oddball....pags is one of the top posters across the gaming forum scene...there is a reason that sportsbooks offer this bet on the miscellaneous or extra section. If i were you i would delete that statment and send a private message to pags apologizing for your outburst

That was some damn funny shit, BuddyBear. There was me thinking you didn't have a sense of humour.

Yeah, pags11 is an internet celebrity - and I know because he says so. His posting prowess is second only to jjgold.

    Top 3 size-wise ? You are correct.

Shady ? Damn right they're shady .. and they're stubborn too, which is a bad combination ... they're too stubborn to take a couple of hours to rewrite their rules regarding bonuses and multiple accounts across their family of books, which would result in a 95% decrease in the number of incidents that they have ... they USUALLY end up doing the right thing in the end, but it often takes forever for it to happen.

    imgv,

I know that many use sportsbook.com and that they pay most...they just don't make my cut...

    buddy,

    thanks bro...

    rickysteve,

all I'm saying is that books should stick to the regular stuff (NFL, NCAAF, Hockey, NBA, Tennis, NCAAB, MLB) and if they really want to get into the prop betting and into sports that I consider "obscure", then they should put the time in to research it and pay promptly...I've read more stories about players not getting paid on props and on Australian Rules football scores...this is all I'm saying...I'm not sure my comment warranted a personal attack calling me an oddball...but, you seem like a good dude so I'm over it...

    tacomax,

as I said before, I'm saving the good stuff for you this fall where you'll be my little bitch...it'll be put up or shut up then...until then, I won't be responding to any of your banter...you can save it...

Did the poster ever get paid from Sportsbook.com? Sickening the way they pay their losers on time and screw with the winners. A definite pattern. Look at the "new" Hollywood which is part of this group. People complaining of not seeing their money for more than a month.

After our meeting they took care of about half of what was pending, including wager disputes from the previous year. There is $20,000 issue on the table right now.

Unconscienceable. I wish the losers would band together with the sharps and boycotte this S-H-I-T book.

I agree that they are a shit book, they wanted to send me a check when they took over the old Holly and i ran like the devil after me with my balance. They did pay it via Neteller after i complained, but still even trying it is just not acceptable. (Specially because iam spoiled by using Pinny etc.).
