Thumbs up I'm voting for McCain

The coach and Mr.Nicky convinced me that McCain is the best man to run this country.

At least you referred to the opinions of highly intellectual, worldly individuals, BBD. No wonder this country is going down the sh1tter in a hurry...

I'm afraid it will take more than a few to right the ship again after this administration. Sadly, I barely see a distiction between McCain and Bush and it bewilders me how anyone could think that maintaining our current policies is anything but suicidal...

Might as well start looking for a job with that vote too, BBD. This site won't be of much use to Americans much longer after you vote him in...

Obama I feel don't have the leadership skills that is necessary to lead this country sir. He just refuses to take a stand on any important issues.

McCain is the right guy to chose if you think the past 8 yrs have been better for America than the previous 8 yrs, if you don't then vote for Obama, the choice is yours

People need to see past race. Obama is clearly looking to get this country moving in the right direction, while mccain is talking a bunch of horseshit and using antics such as having an attractive woman as his VP to get votes.

Tide starting to shift back to Obama. If he can't clean McCain's clock in the debates and pull away, he doesn't deserve to be president. First debate a week from this Friday.

I can most definitely assure you that is not why I'm voting for McCain Pat. I've seen how bad he's done for the state of Illinois and I don't want to see more of that type of thinking leading this country.

Indeed.

jj's odious spreadsheet record and less-than-appetizing recent video performances notwithstanding, his ruminations on asset-based egalitarian social liberalism concerning rights of the individual vis-à-vis the role of the state in a poly-pluralistic democratic republic are some of the most vital and progressive contributions to modern political thought I have come across in quite some time.

He certainly has taken a stand on many issues. Which issues are you referring to, BBD? You should probably do some research of your own on the matter. You may want to pay attention to the debates as well. He has outlined much of his platform on his website. But essentially what you are saying is that you'd rather have a leader with misguided policies than to take a chance on a fresh face to stir things up? I just can't understand that logic.

How can't you like McCain's stance cheap, clean, and secure Energy for America. Does Obama not want to increase the gas tax?

I rather raise gas taxes to help our country get out of debt before it's too late.

Raising taxes will not get this country out of debt though Pat.

That's what is wrong with this country. We are in a time where energy, foreign policy and economic policy are immensely important and we have people voting based on non-issues like abortion. FFS.

How do you plan to pay for the national debt BBD? You want to see us go the route of Argentina?

If you like pointless wars with no end vote for McCain. If on the other hand you don't see much point in spending another trillion dollars and thousands of lives for no reason then vote Obama.

Alternative fuel is the REAL solution. Continuing our dependence on any petroleum based fuel is merely patchwork and only procrastinates finding the inevitablely necessary solution to that very pressing issue. Taxes ARE going up, no matter who becomes the next President. We need to get out of this hole somehow. And I believe portions of that money would go toward research grants and tax incentives for innovation in alternative energy solutions, creating jobs, hopefully putting us at the forefront of such development and mass production, and eventually weening us off of foreign dependency of oil.

Sadly, abortion takes a front seat in some people's agenda to the daily death toll of those already born into the world through senseless, dubious wars. Truly baffling.

What do abortion and church attendance have anything to do with each other?

With thinking like that we will endure another 9/11 incident sir. I don't know about you, but I sure don't want to go through another one of those again.

A terrorist attack can happen regardless if we are in iraq/afghanistan. There are terrorists in the u.s.a right now.

BBD, I find it odd that the people most frightened by 9/11 are indeed the people who live in states and towns that would never be subjected to such an attack. Don't you find it curious that those of us who live in the major metropolis' are voting predominantly Democrat? We are the one's who should be concerned, but we have much better things to worry about. Besides, I find it ironic how somehow the Republicans have become the ones that you find solice in on this issue when the only attacks have come under THEIR watch...

Thats very true Pat and McCain will impose tighter security measures to prevent future attacks.
