Default Colts -5 home vs jags thoughts

so we have the jaguars on the road at indianapolis. since the colts still have not came into a great groove vegaz still has them relatively low at -5( its been -7.5 or higher the last 3 years while at home). Manning is looking better and better every week. The jaguars have lost 3 of there starting offensive linemen and are struggling to run the ball and protect the quarterback because of so. a team that averaged well over 200 yards a game on the run has barely put up 100 in 2 games. Bob sanders recent injury hurts but as i said the jaguars have yet to be able to protect Garrard and hes been hurried causing interceptions this year that didn't happen last year because of good protection . i think the colts win here at home and win easily.

colts 24 jags 16

It depends on if Jeff Saturday and Dallas Clark are playing, also the status of Tony Ugoh.

Yeah they do and Garrard is good enough to move the chains to complement the duo of Taylor and Jones Drew, however the Jags are also 0-2 and don't seem very deep receiving wise. It just might be one of those years were they come down off that high from their success last season.

I haven't done anything yet on this game, but I agree with you. Good luck.

Good Luck! Colts WILL NOT lose 2 in a row to start the season @ home... Manning had his 2 pre-season games... He has looked better and better with each quarter... Our D will bend, but not break just as it did against Minny... Colts may not cover the 5, but the Colts WILL WIN on Sunday!

Some of you are dead on, Bob Sanders being sidelined is killer but even with that it's equally hard to see a Manning led team lose twice in a row at home to start the season.

Big bob sanders is out. Their Defense is horrid without him.

Take the over.

Jags ML and Spread +6

Jags will run all over this weak run defense. Jags to get first win at Indy. AND MJD to finally do something for my fantasy team.

ill take my money to the bank on the colts and ill be laughing when all you guys loose all your money. You realistically believe that these jags who cant hold a pocket together for 3 seconds can put up a decent running attack vs the colts even banged up. i watched there whole game vs the bills and they had about 4 running plays the whole game where MJD or fred weren't hit at the line of scrimmage, if you haven't noticed even if you believe they ll get run all over , the colts still have peyton manning and if its going to be a score off, ill take manning over garrard any day, and this coming from a jags fan

Can you name 3 starters on the Colts D that would start over anyone on the Bills? No.

Touch call and definitely not Play of the Week material, but I lean to Jags at +5 or more. Colts run defense is awful without Sanders, so Drew and Taylor could have a field day. Colts have been unable to run the ball at all, and O-Line has issues without Saturday. Thing that scares me though is that Manning being "forced" to pass more is not necessarily a bad thing for Indy. Maybe Colts be a field goal, ergo, tough call.

Nobody is mentioning that the Jags line is as banged up as the Colts! They haven't run for 100 yds yet and Garrard already has as many Ints this year as last season at 3! Not to mention the Jags (Titans too) fail to fix their lack of decent WRs year after year! Signing Jerry Porter is supposed to help Even without Sanders the Jags won't do much...maybe 125 on the ground and 16 pts? The Colts win imo and definitely cover if Dallas Clark can play?

There was a report today stating Jeff Saturday and Dallas Clark are expected to play that I read.

OK...you've got 33 whole posts and you come in here bashing someone else's picks???

Here's a small piece of advice...until you learn the name of the trophy they're playing for (The Lombardi trophy) perhaps you should keep a slightly lower profile!

Has anyone seen Indy play, they look like shit for two games now. They got lucky when they beat Min. Jacksonville on the other hand, has had two difficult games against some rough running teams. Jags always play tough in Indy but never seem to beat Indy. I say once again the Jags will lose but by 3 points on a late field goal.

Kinda like the Jags in this one. Not that strong a play though. Haven't put anything yet on it, might not. Lots of better plays this week, IMO. But Jax is definitely the side to be on I think.

Did you see Adam Vinateiri shank that 30yder? Never misses under pressure but has an uncanny knack for shanking the most routine field goals. They'd have been up 3 had he made that and not needed to score on the last possession to avoid OT.

That is the first time I've seen him miss. I'll be the first to admit that I'm no expert, but when A.V. was playing for New England you never had to worry about him putting it through. I was shocked.

and if minnesota had frerotte starting over the inept jackson they would have been up 24+ - 0 instead of 15.
