Default Looks like a lot of guys Beat the Prick this week

Looks like Prick will have a -3 score if Eagles cover +6.5

Payouts wont be good at all. I finished -1 this week so I'm happy to win something

45 bucks and i am pretty happy with that. it sucks to go 4-0 and get under 100.

Looking at the results it looks like the SBR employees are being credited with cash winnings.

Can I assume that the software has calculated what the winnings would be without the SBR in-eligible players listed and credited the amounts to the eligible players?

Or.....have I neglected to read the fine print somewhere that SBR employees are eligible to win the money as well, and further dilute the winnings? I don't see the Terms Of Service (TOS) of SBR Contests indicating that SBR employees are not eligible for the winnings of any contest.

If so, looks like the SBR folks are doing pretty well......congrats on the 4-0 Willie Bee.

Only thing I see bad about this is if there is a huge payday like last week and a lot of SBR guys win the cash. In that case, we are not only playing against the Prick, but the SBR staff as well.

Anyway, congtrats to all the winners, and regardless of the prick sucking this week, it is better that lots of guys got some cash than the Prick going 4-0 and slaughtering everyone.

Thanks Jon, and just to make it easy on everything, it's been decided that I get ALL of the money this week after my el perfecto.

Seriously, I'm quite certain that SBR employees are ineligible to win a cent. However, my side bet of a bottle of booze with The Prick is leaning my way right now

Results posted this morning are UNOFFICIAL until verified, SBR employees removed, etc. Expect official results to be posted in a few hours today.

Moving forward, updates are being made to the software to upgrade the live results, display the consensus picks, and more.

Congratulations to the week 2 winners.

Not too different from last year though, where you had to go 4-0 to sniff anything, and it was still just $100.

Based on a parlay approach, I thought that the payout doubled with each point. So with eight payout levels (this week), starting at 5 and ending at -2 points, that would mean that the highest level would be paid 128x the lowest.

Looking at the results, it is more fractional than exponential. (With the spectre of Ganchrow hanging over this I should admit I'm not sure if that is the proper terminology. But it makes sense to me.)

There are 8 payment levels. The best possible record of +5 gets top share.

So the 2nd best record (+4 points) - which one could say is 7/8ths of the way to the top - gets 7/8ths what 1st place gets. 3rd lowest qualifying score (0) gets 3/8ths share. Lowest qualifying score of -2 gets 1/8th. And so on.

That's what I am seeing.

I'm not sure what to think of it. I think I liked the system of last year where you needed to have a good week and $100 was the minimum prize.

11 dollar prizes for scoring a -2? Seems a bit cheesy but I suppose it is meaningful to some players.

To SBR's full credit, they are making sure that a full 5K is divied up each week. That wasn't the case with the old system.

Disappointed a bit, but not pissed. I think you should at least have to have a + score to win some money. But I'll take my 91$ and try to win some more.

Looks like all but 20 people beat the prick. Well i'm 1/4 of the way to what I won last year. just wish my 2 pushes were wins instead of goose eggs.

Looks like after the correction we all made a few more bucks.

Thanks guys!

Now if someone can explain why may SBR contest credits went from 4 to 0 after my DSI account was verified?

I thought the BTP contest was only going to cost 1 contest credit. (I was hoping to use the others for future contests...)

jon13009,

Don't sweat the contest credits. The staff has a significant number of improvements to make on the site. These updates and upgrades will be ongoing. Rest assured that all contest credits will be corrected in due course. FYI, all information and data related to SBR Contests is securely and redundantly backed up ... the necessary updates coming over the course of the next few days and weeks will ensure that the actual DISPLAY of said data will be accurate.
