    Thanks for the heads-up.

If anyone doesn't want to read the link, I believe it is fair to summarize as follows:

    nine.com = M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

(and some RX posters are unhappy that they are allowed to advertise there).

Yea...I posted the link after that first post. I wasn't trying to link to all that stuff that followed. Here is the post I was trying to point out from a guy that just opened an account there:

This is the first time anything like this has happened to me after opening an account. Not happy with this.

I opened an account at NINE.com. Was happy to receive a 20% bonus on a $1500 deposit. Service on live chat was good, like the variety of lines.....thinking everything is ducky. Then I go to make a wager.

My online limits are a dollar. When I contact them they say I have been limited to calling in my plays. They will be monitoring my plays to make sure I am not a "sharp". I'm pretty sure a sharp would deposit more than $1500.

Ok fair enough. They want to be cautious. So I ask for $250 online limits. Clearly a reasonable request. They say it is non-negotiable. Huh? What ever happened to working with a customer and leaving a good first impression. They have really failed on this one.

It just irks me that they act as though they could care less whether or not I was happy, or a customer of theirs. I remember reading about these types of silly practices from them, but that they were going to try to be more player friendly. So much for trying to better their reputation.

It would seem to me that in a case like this, let the player make wagers and then take action if you think he is chasing steam etc. Wouldn't leave such a bad taste right off the bat.

They did allow me to place wagers via live chat. Hopefully they change this policy quickly after seeing my "non-sharp" plays. Just a warning as I know there are many players who play bigger, or players who hate calling in plays, that might be considering joining.

nine.com is part of the mybookie family, so its not suprising. Also shows that not much has chnaged since Rick joined. Makes no sense that they advertise in the forums when they don't want forum players. The only cusoters that they want are those who have only 1 offshore account, maybe two. They hate line shoppers.

Fackin Jokers. I might just send them 20 bucks and play it on a 5 team parlay and when they aren't looking send em 2500 and put it all on steam plays out of spite.

Great info guys, tough to be a bookie if you are afraid of action. Someone should let them know they can make the same plays as the people they think are sharp do!

    Ace,

The inconvenience would be considered a legit CS complaint.

On behalf of Nine.com, I am thrilled that so many posters have taken advantage of the $100/$100 offer and decided to give Nine.com a chance. We are recieving very good feedback from our new players.

This policy of prejudging players was an overly agressive one on the part of our risk managemnet team and has been modified. Players will not be prejudged at Nine.com any longer. We have listened to the collective voice of the posters on this and other forums as well as our players and are constantly striving to provide better service and a better experience.

Have enjoyed my time at Nine.com

Fast payout via neteller yesterday of 2,500.

Limits fine with me(at least 1500 online).

    Great customer service.

    Decent value in lines.

Well you have to appreciate a book listening and responding to feedback. The fact they would try that policy in the first place is a bit of a head-scratcher but whatever.

Nine.com is still pretty far down my list of books to try but I appreciate the update and will keep my eyes and ears open.
