Bowman's makes me feel old. This is not a book I have been using for years - it's a book I have been using for decades, going back to my first phone account in the 1980's.
Over that period of time, I honestly don't remember having a problem. The customer service has always been top-notch for me. There were some recent complaints about the people answering the phones - which surprised me - however it has been a long time since I've phoned them for anything.
In fact I probably haven't phoned since they moved their call center from Manchester to Mauritius.
Bowmans has a pretty standard set of offerings. I think they would have to be classified as a book more for recreational players than pros. They have cut my limits a little bit. They deal dual lines - which some people are rabidly opposed to but doesn't bother me.
The best way I can describe their lines is sporadically opinionated. Sometimes I'll find a rash of big arbs there without even trying - and then things will be quiet and I'll just grind away as normal for weeks. I have found it worthwhile to keep an eye on their halves and quarters numbers - particularly for NFL.
They have dime lines on MLB right now - which break fairly low.
They have a 15% cash sign-up bonus and 15% reloads (once a month only). Check the website for terms and conditions.
And they sponsored our NBA WIN TO STAY IN contest sofor that. (Too bad I sucked in it so much.)

GREAT shop!
Known their head man Scott for nearly 20 years and he is one of the most knowledgable and respected individuals in the entire sportsbetting industry.
Nobody should be without a BOWMANS account.

there fees are a little high, and there limits are a little too low for me personaly. other than that they do pay when you ask for a withdraw, and thats what really matters when you get down to it.

is it true, if you want to make a withdraw you have to call in?
SBR Founder Join Date: 8/10/2005
Not true. You can do it on-line - and it is astonishingly fast (for Neteller anyway).Originally Posted by freebie

i checked it out and I know you and I have talked about it in the past Mudcat and I really object to the idea of dealing dual lines...i think it is unethical. I may give them a shot during football season though.

Their Neteller withdrawl is the fastest out there...

have been my #1 choice since i had a phone acct with them in 1988 where you had to make minimum $100 bets, and pay the tax on winning wagers. never a problem at all. although some shops have better lines, and bowmans deals 2 sets on occassion, i live with that for security

A top book for me.I enjoy the good set of lines.Nice odds in nba games.15% bonus every month.Chances to get some good arbs.Great CS.

Never used it, but haven't heard bad things. Just doesn't seem to worth the hassle since the opportunities to hit a bet there will be far and few between.

First sportsbook for me at age 18. Used to call from telephone cabin from corner street. All what mudcat said is true especially about the dual lines. when SBR had bowmans on their live lines rotation the lines did'int corespond to what i would get from bowmans, pissed me off.

Your log-in times out too fast though.

I've heard these guys are a pretty good book...

Did they change their policy or can you always get a 15% reload monthly? I've tried a few times but online CS tells me I don't qualify.
They do have insanely fast payouts and top notch CS but mediocre software.

No, there are conditions. It's been ages since I qualified for any bonus there. They don't spell out exactly what the conditions are but my sense is it is the standard stuff.Originally Posted by darkghost

If you are a lifetime winner.
If you are deemed a professional for other reasons.
Those sorts of things. All anyone can do is contact them and ask.
