Default How safe is USC SU?

Enough to risk 6 units to get back 1.5?

Ohio States defense is very good...

USC's running game was excellent against Virginia but that was 4 brand new D-lineman... Ohio State's D-Line will be much better, and their LBs can sniff out and stop big plays. The passing game will not be as easy, either, as the run will be harder to establish.

USC could roll here, sure. But it could also be a defensive struggle and in games of that nature, whoever gets the bounces comes out on top.

ryan makes some valid points there...

I'm thinking about it again...

I just don't want to end up punching babies after this game...

You definitely SHOULD win. But there just isn't much value here.

Why put that much risk on a team that you have only seen play 1 game?

I haven't seen them play at all.

Actually if all they did was smack around Virginia, that is not very encouraging at all.

Virginia is pathetic.

Actually, I think ML is VERY safe here, as USC wins this game about 85% of the time. That translates to -567, so believe it or not, there is some value on USC in the upper 400s right now.

Oh and I personally feel 85% is being conservative here, but I will play it safe and keep my projection there although I honestly have no idea how Ohio State could win this game outright. The "great" OSU defense will be exposed outside of the Big Ten once again as they do not have the team speed to match up with the Trojans offense.

listen, unless usc makes 4 turnovers, they wont lose

this isnt rutgers unc here or something questionable
this is the best team, year after year, vs a team on the road possibly without its best player

ohio state ****ing sucks vs good teams

they barely beat OHIO

Michitgan did beat FL last season.

USC should win but u know what they say about should woulda couldas....... helps bookies send their kids to private schools.

I would put 1.5 units on Ohio St +pts that way u still win even if USC wins.

I wouldnt.

USC has a history of taking games off...a long history.

I'm laying the points. My reasoning is if they come to play they will win like 38-10. If they dont then they will figure out a way to lose su.

Oh they'll come to play with all of the hype surrounding this game.

fair enough
2 of those were road games and all 3 were vs shitty teams
they have no history of not showing up for big games though

I couldn't name a single player on either team.

If Ohio State wins, they would probably play for the national title. Even if they went on to lose a game.

If USC loses this game, they could still probably play for the national title, might end up like 3rd, or some shit like that.

Right?

there's no way it's that high. edges of 5%+ are extremely unlikely at -415 with full limits.

Right?
Actually the UCLA game was big and it was like a home game.

I would agree they show up in the big games. I think I took them as a best bet this week. I like them minus the points. Just dont like them laying 5 bets to win 1 on a su affair.

I don't even remember that game last year, what was the line? I'm guessing it was probably -30 or something, if so, I'm sure USC just underestimated their opponent. This is a totally different scenario here.

USC is not safe at all. They lost last year at home vs Stanford as a 41 point chalk. What were they on the ml -30000?
