Default Atlantic City Casinos

I am from the New York City/ New Jersey area originally, and used to go to Atlantic City quite often. I have not been there in about 5 years, so i am curious, which hotels would you recommend to stay in? My list of needs is simple.

1. Excellent Horse Racebook
2. Decent casino layout
3. Clean rooms

Would love to get some input on this from you guys.

Casper welcome, first I recommend these 2 sites.....http://www.achotelexperts.com/hotels.html
http://www.acpokerguide.com/.....anything off route 30, for hotels will range $50-$100. And is only 5 minutes from any casino. acpoker gives you all the daily tournaments, and as far as the horses, I am partial to Billy's Room in Ballys.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will look at those two sites. Funny thing is, the only thing I DO NOT play in the casinos is poker..lol. Not the best card guy.

Ok man, and a hidden gem The Irish Pub, 1 street over from Resorts, great ice cold beer, hot woman every time I have been there, and great food. Beers are like 2 dollars and all food platters are about 6..great value for AC!

Like the above said, Billys is a horse, poker area which is my favorite in Ballys. The Ballys Wild West also has an excellent horse room, its the biggest in AC and has plenty of seats and large screen. Like above said also, Irish Pub is a great value! If you are looking for late night fun, check out Bare Exposure!!!! $20 to get in, but bring your own bottle! Great value and the chicks are HOT!! Leave your cell phone in your room, cause they wont let you bring it in, you have to do coat check with it, for a fee, they dont want people snapping pics of the girls. And if you want more after that, check out the night crawlers on Atlantic avenue after dark! They start out $150-$100 range, but you can talk them down to $100 and below, depending on what you are looking for. They also hang out in Ceasars (all over the place)! But you pay more in there for the same thing outside! Back to gambling, the best place for craps in my opinion is Taj Majal. Very big casino! The hotels on the strip are not that expensive during the week, free once you have played there. Stay off the strip on Fri. and Sat. unless you like $200-$300 rooms! Good Luck!

The last time I was in AC, I went to the Irish Pub. If I am not mistaken, it's a hole in the wall, but when you walk in, it's a lot bigger than expected. If that's the same place you guys are talking about, you are right...it rocked. I really do appreciate all the suggestions. I figured a lot has changed in AC since the last time I went, and by what I have read it has!!

Borgata is very nice, forgot about that. I dont spend much time there because it is off the strip! Plus, I played there one night at the $25 crap table for 4 hours. Next trip I called for a room, and they gave me a crappy price. All the other casinos comp me. Dont know what there problem is. Usually, I'm too drunk to get out there anyways! But if you stay on the strip and want to go, you can take the Jittney ($2) out there. Runs every 5 minutes on Atlantic Ave. If you ride at night, you can enjoy the scenery along the way!
